Maybe with all the talk of a reunion, Steven tried to talk to Axl to get himself back in. Before he drove up there he got high, which caused him to get lost. He paniced in the car, Lit up the crack pipe and passed out. The hot crack pipe lit the rug on fire and caused this whole thing.
