What a show!
Growing up in the
90s
i loved this. Awesome theme tune, great stories, fantastic querky humour and 2 great lead characters,
Benton Frasier
&
Ray Vecchio
, and the coolest wolf of all time,
Diefenbaker
. I'm been watching re-runs of this recently and i am enjoying them as much as i did the first time. The first 2 series were great, unfortunately it dipped for the 3rd and 4th (final....). I put this down to the them getting a new
Ray
, they came up with the whole 'He's gone undercover thing', but the replacement they had just didn't have it. He wasn't as funny and he never had the same chemistry with
Paul Gross
that
David Marciano
. Still it was watchable stuff all the same just not as good, well least he came back in the end. I also thought they had a lot of decent supporting characters such as
Huey
&
Louie
the 2 cops they were always battling over cases with, that women who played
Elaine
('Thank you kindly Elaine
) & also
Beau Starr
playing
Ray
's boss
Harding Welsh
.
So are there any other fans?

I remember that it used to be on BBC2 around the 6 'o' clock mark, shared by the Simpsons and Superman!
And, I remember that I did used to like it. I don't remember it too well, and it clearly didn't leave a big enough impression on me that I would buy it now.
Because, there are shows that I cannot remember at all, like Robin Hood, that are on my DVD list at the moment.
But no, yes, it was a good show.

Well.
Unless I go out, I may very well try and catch that bad boy this evening then.

Awesome show...
I used to watch it all the time. His dead father - played by the good Newfoundland boy, Gordon Pinsent - was priceless.

Yeah he was great, can't believe i did not mention him.....
Robert Fraser's ghost: We have to find somewhere to live.
Benton Fraser: What do you mean, "we"?
Robert Fraser's ghost: That's a cruel joke, son. I've been thinking about an office. I think I need an office.
Benton Fraser: What the hell would you do with an office?
Robert Fraser's ghost: Office work, memoirs, catch up on my taxes. . .
Benton Fraser: You've been dead for two years.
Robert Fraser's ghost: Oh, they find you, son. They find you.
