Here Today...

« on: January 31, 2006, 03:31:01 PM »

Hey all, I'm working an extremely long-shot effort to get Axl Rose to perform at my wedding. I'm writing weekly letters to his manager and label, and I've started up a blog to rustle up support.

http://getaxlforourwedding.blogspot.com/

Also, I've started a petition:
http://new.petitiononline.com/AxlRose/petition.html

I'd much appreciate it if you could check out the website, sign the petition, and forward this info to as many gunners as you can!

Thanks, and may the power of Appetite for Destruction be with you!

best

You've got more chance of John Lennon and Elvis Presley doing a duet of Rap Superstar.

Sorry man that shit will not work, he'll probably be more likely to play at his own funeral then to play at some randomers wedding.

I must admit life is trite but that's all right

well, assuming by some miracle the guy does show up at your wedding... and he performs, and he dances with grandma, and he drinks champagne, etc.... do you really want what is supposed to be YOUR wedding day upstaged by a 40+ year old rock star who you would have just met that evening?  I am amazed that you convinced your wife to be to even let you try and get him to come.

Good luck though, I have to admit it may be one of the more original ideas I have heard to get Axl out into the public.

Technically we already eloped, so this is more of a wedding celebration. Unupstageable.

And I look forward to that first letter from Axl's lawyers. That's when I know he's heard of me!

hrm, i looked at your silly blog and read the first letter you sent to axl.

i think he would be more inclined if you didn't insult him and say things like "We?re here when you want us, screwed when you don?t" and "the tour was canceled and I was left out to dry. A lot of your fans were left out to dry"

i wish you luck but i'm not signing your stupid petition

Well he has been toying with us, we all know that.

Although I agree, probably not the way to win his heart. My second letter will be more conciliatory.

You are free to not sign, but you shall receive no credit if/when Axl does perform at my wedding.
