yes but almost everyone album has guitar solos from billy because his solos, well you know when its him when he does them.

theres like 2 solos on this album, short ones also. its dissappointing in that aspect.

but as songs they are good, i like how they crossed the beats, they did it well.

THE CULT To Headline JAGERMEISTER MUSIC TOUR - Sep. 25, 2007

The fall 2007 installment of the hugely popular Jagermeister Music Tour will take a totally new turn with rock favorites, THE CULT. The tour kicks off on October 17 and runs through mid-December.

Fresh from a series of summer festivals and European arena shows with rock legends THE WHO, THE CULT will now reign as headliners on the 2007 Jagermeister Music Tour.

"THE CULT is the perfect headlining band for the Jagermeister Tour because of their sound and image," says Rick Zeiler, Director of Marketing and Brand Development for Jagermeister. "This band continues to produce great music while sticking to their roots of nonconformity. We're big fans of THE CULT and look forward to the kickoff of this fall's Jagermeister Music Tour." The band is also excited to be hitting the road with the Jagermeister tour: "Given our long history as a live act, THE CULT are delighted to partner up with Jagermeister, clearly longtime supporters of live music and authentic touring musicians," says Billy Duffy.

The bill will be rounded out by VIETNAM, THE CLIKS, and ACTION ACTION.

Going on six years, the Jagermeister Music Tour, produced by Live Nation, is better than ever and has become THE rock show to see. This year's tour will feature a local Jagermeister band on every one of the dates through December. Fans will not only have the opportunity to experience a great show, but will also have a chance to snag some great Jagermeister prizes and giveaways like Jagermeister bands' compilation CDs, as well as plenty of Jagermeister shirts, hats, and more. Other prizes and giveaways from sponsors include custom tour prizes from Schecter Guitars, JVC Mobile Electronics, and Peavey Electronics.

THE CULT Singer Hopes New Album Will Be 'Life-Changing Experience' For First-Time Listeners - Oct. 1, 2007

Christa Titus of Billboard magazine recently conducted an interview with THE CULT singer Ian Astbury. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow:

Q: For people who will hear THE CULT for the first time with this record, what would you like them to get out of it?

Astbury: "A life-changing experience. Spiritual upliftment. Some kind of an awakening, hopefully. I think one thing about this record is, it has all the ingredients in it. The teeth and claws haven't been taken out of it. It's not a nice little domesticated indie house pet. A lot of stuff was written in wild places: (while) denizens of Paris, (while) stuck in lodges in the Himalayas and (during) white-out snow storms."

Q: How does your extensive traveling inform your creative process?

Astbury: "It keeps my perspective fresh, keeps experience fresh, and it really makes me appreciate places that I'm in when I return to them. It's like, Los Angeles can become quite lethargic, the same tone, the same weather. You go, 'Well, I'll do it tomorrow.' But you come to New York, it sort of forces you to get things done ... to be productive."

Q: What songs came together especially well on "Born Into This"?

Astbury: "'Holy Mountain' is probably the pinnacle for me ... it involves my girlfriend and (a time) in life where I felt kind of like, I won't say washed up, but I definitely felt drained. I felt frustrated and I felt undynamic and went on this journey and ended up at Everest. So that song is literally the zenith, the high point, and everything sort of flows down from that song."

Q: Why re-form THE CULT?

Astbury: "I learned so much with (RIDERS ON THE STORM) ... I learned a lot about performance from these guys. I learned about space, holding the space, being in the space (and) improvisations. And that really led me to think, 'Wait a minute. I thought I knew everything about performance. I know squat about performance.' I just really felt I had something to say, really had some strong material, and I felt the best possible place for this was THE CULT."

Finally got the damned thing in the states. Picked up the bonus package and after the first listen all I could think was "Stand Alone" and "War Pony Destroyer" should be on the main disc. After listening to the new Down cd, I am now on my 4th consecutive playing of B.I.T. It definitely grows on you. So far "Tiger in the Sun" is the standout track on an excellent cd. Hopefully Tempesta and Wyse stick around, they both sound great.
