I love tribute bands. I can see AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Queen, Led Zepplin, Rush, Thin Lizzy or Iron Maiden at the Stourbridge Rock Cafe for under a tenner. OK, its not the real thing but they really are very good a lot of the time. Check out Dirty DC, they're probably one of my favorites, Bad Obsession are good too.

A tribute fesitval is a good idea, but I agree it needs to be advertised as this!

i think tribute bands do a great job in a artists point of view  if there any good.they promote songs that poeple havnt heard for a while which makes them buy an album or single etc etc.plus for poeple like us GNR fans,its the only way we,ll ever see the original band on stage together.

LOL I know!!! I saw him either right before or right after he joined SNL (can't really remember, he was still an unknown though) doing standup on the comedy network and he played guitar and sung Patience. it was awesome!!! of course he started acting like a goof at the end but he was really good, i wish i could see that again.

From left to right Duff, Izzy, Axl, Dizzy, Slash, the fan with the camera from St. Louis (Axl made up with everybody he was pissed at hihi , except Matt and Steven (who needs a drummer anyway))
