It's fairly obvious that the Arctic Monkeys are gonna do well in the UK in 2006 but which other new bands are worth looking out for to emerge in 2006?
My personal favourites are a Swedish band called Mando Diao who are kind of like a Swedish Libertines with their two lead singers although they aren't actually a new band they could make an impact this year with a bit of luck.
Omerta are another band that I think could do well and The Young Offenders Institute are like a modern day Chav-pop Oasis which may be big... although they are terrible.
Oh, and I'll say Clap Your Hands Say Yeah... but I'm a little bias on that one as I have a vested interest in the band!
Anyone else care to make any guesses?

Ive Heard the Arctic Monkeys album and because its been riding on a massive NME hype wave its obviously crap, theres about 5 really good songs and the rest are either horrible tunes or boring average filler.

I'm not a massive fan of the Arctic Monkeys. They'll do well for a while but no one will mention them in 5 years time. |
