Mxtabs down because of "lawsuit"

seems there being sued, probably by the music industry, for "copy right infringement". I think its pathetic how, even when all credits are listed to the band, song writers etc, they close down a tabaluture site. Basically all they want really is for everyone to buy there tabs books, i think its pathetic.

yeah man, it sucks, i loved getting tabs of there to play, if it wasnt for that site i wouldnt be anywhere near as good on my bass as i am.

that's why it's down?  that's complete bollocks.  seriously, who care?!  no one is gonna buy the tab books because 1/2 the time it's the notes and i can guarentee the number of guitarists who can actually read notes is dropping (sad, but true).  mxtabs was a very helpful site, and it will be missed.

every tab i've ever used ahs been off so i bought the books and they have tab and its all perfect. if anything i go to www.mysongbook.com and use guitar pro. I hated Mxtabs personallly never gave me anything correct for any band besides just riffs.

MxTabs was great, with the drums and bass tabs also there.

I posted some crap about this a few weeks back.  Apparently the RIAA is going after tab and lyric sites both, claiming copyright infringement, that only the original author of the music has the right to play it (which is why many tabs come with the standard disclaimer that it's only one person's INTERPRETATION of the song, not necessarily the song itself).

Complete and utter bullshit, I tell you.  I hope all of this destroys the music industry as we know it-- it only has fucked over the fans and small musicians while helping the big name bands.  Thanks for starting this crap, Ulrich.
