Has the wait gotten to any of you yet?

Hey, It's the New Fiona Apple here after yet another long hiatus and I'm wondering if any of you guys have been wondering like I am, if wasting all this time waiting for this one album is worth it? Do you feel Chinese Democracy can't possibly live up to it's enigma status? Do you feel that Axl flat out doesn't care anymore?

I believe this and I'm curious as to whom has lost touch at least a little bit like me and who is still believers that the album will come out. I'm getting to my last end waiting for some type of news on this album and I'm curious who are still true believers and who have become jaded like myself.

I'm a fairly new GnR fan and so I guess I haven't been around for as long as most of you in waiting for the new album, plus I'm probably not as aware about the majority of drama that is surrounding it, as most of you are. But I still hold out hope that the album will be released soon... I've heard some of the new stuff and it's great, it would be a real shame if it wasn't released

Yes, it will be a pitty if CD never sees the light, but it might happen.

 ? ? ?Before I thought I was gonna buy the album as soon as it was gonna be released and Id buy the original one, but I dont really care about it, I might even buy the pirate one, it doesnt matter. I know it doesnt help the artist at all, but there's where the wait has taken me to and also the fact that I dont have enough money to buy an original one. ? ?

I havent been around long enough.. about a year really.. but.. your question is one I think about often.. "Is any album worth this long a wait?"

And.. well I couldn't answer that for you.. the only person who can, is Axl Rose.. and the album its self.

I truely do believe the album will come out.. so im not worried about that. when.. and how good it is.. is something I do worry about though. I'd be honestly dissapointed if there wasn't AT LEAST 2 disks worth of material... but.. I don't know what Axl has planned. What I do know.. is that he cant just put out a "normal" album anymore.. he lost his chance to do that a long time ago.. it would just be too dissapointing.

But.. I stay around.. because even "B" songs like Chinese Democracy make me go "dayum!"... so.. you know.. 10 "A" songs.. will just be amazing. Axl Rose.. Buckethead.. Finck.. theres just so much talent on that record.. its bound to be amazing.

I honestly feel there will be no album.. I think the dreams died at msg or march 30 04... The 1 percent chance of it coming out is part of the reason I come around, the other is vr and finally force of habbit.. I think the difference before to now is before I really cared now I just sit here and say just stupid rumors nothing ever happens..

I think the chances of seeing this album are pretty slim...
I mean, its been 5 years since HOB+Rio, when things were really looking great. There was genuine excitement at that time.
Everyone was excited but also seemed nervous about the 2002 shows. That was almost like Axl's last chance or something... Then it went and blew up, and there hasn't been any slim sign of progress since.

So, as much as I'd LOVE to see the CD, I think the wait has gotten to a lot of people. Thats not to say that if it IS released that these people won't come back in an instant... It takes a lot to be able to cling onto fake promises for years and years.

The way I see it is, there's so much good music out there today, I'm not going to waste year after year praying for a new Guns N' Roses CD. If it comes out, Great! I'll be first in line to buy it, but if it doesn't come out in a long time or at all, well, what can you do...

I think Axl forgot who wrote the music for guns n roses, yes he wrote the words but Izzy Slash Duff wrote the music for the most part. I guess Axl found out: You can't ride the bike without the CHAIN. Now we have to wait for Richard and maybe Tommy to rearange the mess Axl calls Chinese Disaster. So yes I'm about done with it, Merry Christmas anyway

It got to me yesterday when I logged onto Robin Finck's website and saw his latest 'me first' question - 'what can you do with six inches of scotch tape'. Fuckin hell, Richard's being a dad, Dizzy's doing GNR tribuite bands, Tommy's off with Soul Asylum, Brain wants to set up a storage business and Robin's worrying about what he can do with six inches of fucking scotch tape???

P.S. what also annoys me about the 'wait' is just when you resign yourself to the fact that its all over, you get some fuckin rumour like the Amazon saga, where you can actually pre-order a copy of Chinese Democracy which then turns out to be bullshit without any kind of reasonable explanation besides 'oh its just Amazon playing games'.

If the wait was justified then I could live with it.. It's just like if the album has been done for a very long time then why wait to release it?? It's not like axl is in the band alone, he has band members who I am sure wnat to do something with this project sooner then later.. A slight tweak here n there is also not a reason to hold an album back for years.. it's better to just do your best and give it a realistic time table then move on to the next project.... You're not building the foundation to a skyscraper, you are making an album.. Go with and see what happens.. if you are a solo artist with hired members who you could care less about then take forever but if you hired guys to be your mates then respect them as well..
