Who was your inspiration to play Rock? A band? A single musician? Or just someone who made you want to play Rock music?
I would have to say my mom was my inspiration to play Rock music.
She would always listen to classic rock and I loved it!
I would always try to drum along with whatever was playing.

I've always wanted to play and sing... But until I was 21 I was just too lazy, and had a shitload of excuses so I didn't pick up the Guitar. At 21, I had the whole summer off, and had no excuse not to, so I did.

No ultimate source of inspiration really. If I had to point something out, I'd have to say my brother was a huge influence on me. (if he can do it, so can I.. Smiley )

when i was like 10 i was really into the scorpions so that would be why i picked up the guitar. I never practiced so my dad cut me off so i played for fun a little bit dropped that and then i was 13 so I picked up bass cause of Duff and this year I had to drop the lessons because of my coinciding hockey schedule and this poast summer i bought a microcube amp to fool around with and i just lost all interest in bass so im selling it and now my guitar influence is slash. sadly, I suck.

The legendary guitarist said that he does have some contact with Guns n' Roses singer Axl Rose, however.

I was 8 or 9 and Guns just came on the scene in 87.? My Dad bought "Appetite" the day it came out after hearing "Jungle" at like 2 in the morning.? I heard "Sweet Child" that day and knew I wanted to play like Slash.? My Old Man bought me a guitar the Christmas of 87 and I've been playing ever since.? Never could figure out that trick of playing while drunk off whiskey though. rofl

GN'R

But i'll have to thank my family especially my dad for blaring guitar solos at 4 in the morning on the stereo!! although it annoyed me at the time I actually think its the reason I like guitar so much!!

My older brother inspired me. He was a drummer from the time he was eleven years old. He taught me how to play the drums or how to keep a beat, in my case.
