I still have thick wavy hair but it seems before it grew back in a blink of an eye. I'm 18 now I went and got a buzz cut because last summer was insane, I didn't think it would take long for it to grow back. I remeber when I was 11, i got one during the summer and by like the following Christmas time it was down to the bottom of my neck. Now 7 years later, Deja Vu ,but it's not even near that stage.Right now it's about maybe 1.5 to 2 inches from my head. Have you experienced the same thing?

Hair growth depends on how healthy you are.  How much water you drink - nutrients.  Although usually, this dosent differ anything too much?!  Undecided

When I was 18 I already had a slight receding hair line.

Very true. it depends of what you eat. It's the same for your skin.
But it also depends on your hormones (testosterone). It's also genetic.

A friend used to say that if he moist his hair a couple of times during the day, his will grow faster, but I don't think that happen cause I used to do that and cause my hair is very super wavy it just grow very uneven, I think it all has to come of they way you treat your hair and the what kinda hair you have.

Your friend watered his hair?  Like a plant?  That's funny.

the best solution is to shave your head, and then let your hair grow during  8/10 month. You'll have better hair.
I didn't have the courage to shave my head, but last september I cut my hair very short. Since then, I let them grow, 4 month of full growth already. Right now i have kinda the same hair lenght/ hair cut that Fortus in the 2002 Tour. 5/6 cm. I'll let them grow until march/April to have the right lenght, (around 10 cm). That's enough. Too long hair for men is not good.
