Slipknot suck but Vol. 3 seems a good album, shows more variation and style

Defo, there less silly screaming in it.

it shows Corey Taylor can actually sing

I think the albums "mothers milk" and "blood sugar sec drugs magic" are there best, alot more funkyier and rockier. They sort of went into a more "lazy rock" sound with there later albums, still cool though.

Prince and the RHCP made some great albums in the 80s/early 90s, but have managed nothing but mediocrity afterwards (though Musicology actually got some rave reviews - I still haven't listened to that one). I wouldn't exactly call that getting "better and better".

Well, when u look at their dubious 80's stuff albums like BSSM, Californication and By the way are definite improvements....

There last album of the 80s is great. So is the first album of the 90s.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to. After Mother's Milk and Blood Sugar Sex Magik, the albums that followed weren't really that special, even though they sold well.

It's Pearl Jam for me. They just got a whole lot better. They were always great, but I was not aware of it.   Tongue

I gotta go with Megadeth, I know is no longer on activity but their albums since the first always got better with the exception of Risk, I really don't like that album, The world needs a hero is one great album and it doesn't appear that Dave had lost that speed and thrashy way to play the guitar  ok

Pearl Jam have gotten better?Huh

Actually Skeletor Prince has two very remarkable records "Gold Experience" and "Emancipation" that are as good if not better than his 80's hey dey.

He was more of an Indepedent then, so they flew in under the radar

He won 3 grammys for Musicology.

Trust me, he keeps gettin better cause he has evolved his style and still kicks ass.

"The Rainbow Children" is one of the best concept records made. It takes about 30 times to understand exactly what the fuck he is singin about, but once u figure it out, its amazing.

I love every RHCP album except their debut one from 1984. but their peak was definately BSSM, even though Californication was slightly more of a commercial success.
they seem to be progressing and making the music they want to make though, and as long as I like it, which I have so far, I have no problem with it!

but there are few bands that keep putting out albums that are better than the last one...I would say Foo Fighters, but they haven't been completely stabile as I think their best album is their second and their fifth.

actually, even though massivly unpopular at a message board like this, I think Blink 182 has improved massivly on every album they have put out. their last album from 2003 is their best and a damn great album imo!

Californication or By The Way didnt have a single as strong as Under The Bridge but as an entire body of work from song 1 to the end I feel Californication was better than BSSM and By The Way just shits on all their albums combined.

thats my opinion anyway.

And I hope people other than Hillell weighing in on this have actually listened to the entire albums and not just what was on the radio.

cause By The Way and Zephyr werent the best songs on that CD.
