I wonder why Audioslave is releasing a new CD next year when it took them three years to release a follow-up to the debut?

I think they're trying to shorten that cycle by writing and recording while they're touring.
Another thing is I think they still have a bulk of songs left over from their writing sessions for Out Of Exile.

New Warrant album sounds great, loved the clips I heard. You need a good 'ol dose of cock-rock now and again.

Silvertide just announced they are coming out with a new album this year.

this is from their website.....

02/01/06 - Back In The Studio!
Hey Silvertide fans!  We have a lot of news for you.  First, we're sorry to announce that all of the upcoming Silvertide tour dates have been cancelled.  The reason is the label wants us back in the studio asap to work on our next album.  We hate to do this to you because you're the best fans in the world.

So, please accept this as a huge apology.  But the sooner we get started in the studio, the sooner we can get a new Silvertide album out.  And the sooner we can get an album out, the sooner we can get back on the road playing for you.  The plan is to get something out by the fall.  We should be back on the road this summer.  Thanks for all of your support.  We'll update you from the studio over the next couple of months

That is awesome news, their debut was fantastic it is one of the best albums i have heard in the past 5 or 6 years, something fresh and new while still retaining a great old school feel and vibe, the kind of album that should help kill off the bollocks MTV plays.........

sorry i know this is off topic, but what is goin on with the pumpkins? Billy announced last june he wanted to reform them and nothing has happened since then.......... people are wondering whether billy will get new members and still call it the pumpkins (sound familar?  rofl) or if he will invite everyone else back... but what if they don't want to? then will he get new members? its gonna be interesting to see how this plays out.

In regards to the Pumpkins--- I read an article on MTV.com that said Corgan and Chamberlan are definately on board.  It is unclear whether Iha or Darcy are gonna be back in the fold at this point.  Auf de Marr (joined after Darcy left in 2000) was quoted as saying she doesn't know what the situation is, but she is willing to rejoin.  Anyway, Billy has been writing "pumpkin-like material" for a few months now and might be ready to start recording soon (?).  Here's a link to the article...
