I wonder if these two still have it in for each other. It's been a longgggg time.

An interview with Motley Crew from the March 2005 issue of FHM:

Quote
Vince:
A band is only as good as its last record, so you're really competing with yourself. People keep this rivalry with Guns N Roses going, but it's crazy. You don't hold a grudge for 15 years. It's stupid. Why look back?

Tommy:
When Guns was opening for us, Slash thought he could keep up with us drinking Jack. So we started ripping em back. Slash throws up. We got him back to one of our rooms, laid him down on the bed, put our nut sacs right on his chin and took a fucking Polaroid of it. I think we laminated it and made that his tour pass.

Nikki:
The thing with Axl is as much as I love him, he's kind of a fucking emo fag. He's not really a dude. He's like the Wizard of Oz behind a curtain making a lot of noise. He never stepped up to the plate when Vince challenged him. Axl wasn't into getting wild. I think that's his inner-emo. He's so fucking artsy. I'm pulling it out in the press. Axl if you're there: Lose your inner-emo. Come back to us. Dude, let's rock.

What a bullshit interview.

"Uhh, come back and party with us! Dude, let's rock!"

What a fucking crappy attitude, grow up for god's sake!

They are 40-year old's and still think they live in the fucking 80's.

I know that Tommy have kids.. What a great role model he must be.

This is off-topic but the "Tommy Lee Goes To College" really takes the price.

Just stop with that fucking braindead "Rock 'N' Roll" attitude, it's just stupid.

Are you sure?, once I heard a tribute Iron Maiden band called the Iron Maidens, and the bass player call herself Steph Harris, of course I might be waaaay mistaken.

Yep, pretty sure. ?

I believe Jarmo originally mentioned this in a thread a while back.

If I'm not mistaken, I think it was a Canadien date..

I have heard the mp3...? Axl totally made Vince sound like a joke...

Vince IS a joke!? Have you heard him lately?? Damn, I thought Axl lost it as he aged.? This guy gives "living off your name" a whole new meaning.
Stop with the bullshit!! I went to two MC shows this year, and Vince sounded great.

Why don't you "stop the bull-shit"?  Vince Neil is a piece of shit.

Yes, I'm sure everyone has Slash's tour pass from 20 years ago - that's sure to be heavily circulated.

A "tour pass" supposedly depicting nut sacks in his face.  I'm sure the Crue went to great links to make sure it was seen by no one because they respected Slash so much.  Roll Eyes

i also saw the crue 2 times this tour - madison square garden and madrid, loved the show, and vince was better than i expected, but.....he still sounded like shit! i love the crue, i like vince, but the guy is either bad or very bad live. i love nikki, he's an idol, but he can't play shit. the band wins only with tommy and mick, that are awesome musicians, and of course with the music that kicks ass (props for nikky). they have always needed back up tapes to make a decent live show sound-wise, becuase in image they have one of the best hard rock shows.
but "vince neil is good"? give me a fuckin break! the guy can't hold his breathe doing the verses of "shout at the devil", and it was the first song of the set!

I don't understand why you have a hard time believing whether or not this picture is real.  It is ONE polaroid picture they the band made into Slash's backstage pass.  That means there was ONE copy of it.  Slash may very well have it somewhere in his house, or he may have thrown the thing away.  Maybe he even *gasp* lost it!   Roll Eyes

I saw the Crue twice this year, and Vince sounded great both times.  If you don't like Vince's voice that's one thing, but the dudes been on top of his game this tour.  Most people who've actually seen them live this year say he's sounded great.  I'll tell you what, he sounded a helluva lot better the two times I've seen him live this year than Axl has in quite a while.

yes. thats weird. it also says under Touring Substitution that "Stephen Harris" replaced Duff on the bass one night in 1988. would this be Steve Harris of Iron Maiden?? Huh because do belive that the two bands toured togther around that time.

Nope, that would be Stephen "Haggis" Harris from The Cult circa '87, known in those days as "Kid Chaos".? The Kid also did some time in the great Zodiac Mindwarp And THe Love Reaction pre Cult.

More on The Kid can be found here:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2005-12-21-dyslexia_x.htm

He's on the road to becoming "Dr.Chaos" these days, a great story.
