The boy is incredible, and you'd be a fool to not consider him for a world 11. His role is behind the striker, he isn't a natural goal scorer in the sense that somebody like Owen is; mainly because that isn't his job! His reading of the game is second to none, and I don't think that you can possibly begin to appreciate his style of playing if you look at him as just being a striker.

According to Sky Sports News, Owen has a cruciate ligament injury and is out for 5 months.

Knowing how slowly Owen seems to recover in comparison to other players, I doubt we'll see him playing again before 2007.

About last night's match,? I was watching the game in a bar with some friends. Where I live is almost a british colony since there are many xpats living here. I was trying to have a disussion with some drunken brits (golf business men...) and it was funny cause right before Sweden scored one of them told me, it's been 32 years or whatever since we beat Sweden for the last time, today we are changing history. One second later, Sweden scored and we all made fun of him. It was all in good spirits though, we had a fun time arguing about football with english tourists!?

Thing that annoys me though is people only really talk about strikers and fancy players as the best in the world, surely it should be measured as to how good someone is in their posistion, I see John Terry as as good in his posistion as Rooney is in his, yet defenders never get mentioned, sad really as defending is as much a part of the game as attacking

WOW I cant believe it but I have found myself watching a shit load of this on TV.

That Spain win over whoever it was when Torres had 2 goals and they came back from being down 1-0 for like 60 minutes and won 3-1 was an incredible game.
