What just because we got no shots on goal in 90+ minutes?

That was pathetic. Anyone still think that #5 ranking was justified?

Two superb goals from Tomas Rosicky.

Another masterful signing by Professor Wenger, because if Rosicky continues playing like that, his value would have gone well above the ?7 million we paid for him a couple of weeks ago.

He looks a super player, and dovetailed beautifully with Nedved.

I can't wait to see him at the Emirates Stadium next season, and for many seasons to come.

Slightly off topic (and probably mentioned already) Have any of you heard the UK "World cup" Song? It's simply hilarious. I heard it this morning on the way to work... "We are gonna win the world cup" ..."And cheer for "Roo"and all the things he can do"  rofl

The 2002 UK song was quite different... "Stop Crying Your Heart Out..."

You said it man! drool

Czech Republic were ace as always and it's a damn shame about Koller.? USA were pathetic, they totally bottled it.? Maybe we'll see more of them in matches to come but I doubt it. hihi

Italy are playing Ghana now and are looking quite shakey.? Ghana are fast and strong but Italy's passing is better - it's shaping out to be a really good game!

I was disappointed in the USA performance yesterday.   They are not out of it yet , all they have to do is tie against Italy and beat Ghana by 6 goals lol   and they should advance .    hihi

France look awful. Something seriously drastic needs to happen or they are not going to do anything in this tournament.

I dare to say that Brazil won't win this World Cup, because their defence is much much worse than in 2002. Then they looked like a complete team, but now if they don't improve dramatically, teams like Holland, Italy, Germany, Argentina or even England will rip their weak defence apart, no matter how many clown tricks Ronaldinho makes

That's absurd and way over the top!

You can judge nothing based on the first game of the group stages. Not least because it takes a lot of the teams a short while to find their footing, but you've also got to remember that for the number 1 seeds their opening games are not exactly do or die. Even if you did lose, which none of them did, it wouldn't be the end of the world, because six points would easily see you through.

... if they don't improve dramatically, teams like Holland, Italy, Germany, Argentina or even England will rip their weak defence apart, no matter how many clown tricks Ronaldinho makes

HA! Good one. Now that would be some match. Given that both have below acceptional defences, it would go down to who is going to score the most goals in what would likely be rugby score. Surely I need not ask who you'd have your money on?

That said, Brazil's defence is nothing compared to the woe that is Germany.

Dont judge us (Brazil) by the first game. In 2002 we played much worse against Turkey. We had a penalty shot made up by the referree and won by 2-1.

The team will grow, so will Ronaldo

Any other Aussies watch Australia v Japan? I was literally about to turn off the TV at the 80 minute mark but thank God Tim Cahill scored... once... twice... then bring on John Aloisi Cheesy What an amazing match, 3 goals in 8 minutes, you bloody legends!

Also considering the idiotic Egyption referee made a mistake (and admitted it later) when he didn't call the foul against our goalie Mark Schwarzer... it should have been 3-0!

I don't think we'll beat Brazil this coming Monday night (2am our time, yet my brother and I are going into Federation Square in the city to watch it on the big screen), but if we can beat Croatia it will set us up nicely for the next round. I'm a bit torn as my mum is Croatian, and my dad Australian, so really, I can't lose when they play each other  hihi

What Ronaldo did yesterday was nothing but refusal to work. If i was Parreira i would'nt let him play the next match, but Robinho.
I hope these arrogant bastards don't get far this time.

France was awful aswell, I just think they're best players are to old to be able to compete with today's young players. they won't get far either
