Queens Of The Stone Age mainman Josh Homme has accused Metallica of copying music he recorded with his former band Kyuss, according to TheGauntlet.com.
Homme makes his attack in an interview with American rock magazine Decibel. He says: "The amount of s**t that they borrowed from us is frustrating."
The singer adds he almost got his own back when asked to comment on Metallica for a documentary, while under the influence of ecstasy. Homme says, "I was trying hard not to say something negative. I said that meeting them was like meeting George W Bush. My eyes must have been spinning."
In other news, Josh Homme's side project Eagles Of Death Metal are to make an exclusive single available at their forthcoming UK dates supporting Foo Fighters.
The record will be available at merchandies stands at the sold-out shows. The white label, hand-stamped 7" singles are exclusive to the tour. It features new songs taken from the band's upcoming LP "Death By Sexy", due for release in 2006.
The release is limited to just 500 copies, and any copies unsold following the tour will be put on-sale via Rockfeedback.com -- Transgressive Records spin-off website. Read more at NME.com.
