Its not gonna hit #1 guys. It HAS shot up though. And I really hope it does.. so we can force something out. Whats going on at the other GN'R forums? Anything? They have members doing the same thing...?

Yeah, ain't no-one need that. I would imagine we would lose a fair few HTGTH folk. You would need to sell your PC to pay for it.

I was asking more along the lines of if it were to be done, it would be easy to find out how and why it got to #1... so it would'nt mean a thing if it did. It would not motivate Axl to release it, because it was only the work of a couple hundred loony fans.

Why not just lock out of your amazon.com acount, and then, as a guest even without a new registration, add 999 copies to basket? This way, the item would still be considered pre-ordered by Amazon.com, but as they don't have any data to be connected with you, they can't charge you anything.

Nope, it's not considered as pre-ordered if you don't give any billing information. Even though they don't bill you until the item(s) are shipped, they still need some billing information to make sure you actually pre-ordered it and you are not using a guest account of whatever.

FYI, if you add items to your basket as a guest, the items are just considered "added to basket" for the length of your session (which usually ends when you close your brower).
