I find the idea that THE major online retailer would want to f*ck around with people for a larf a bit odd...it's not like they gain anything from preorders if the product doesnt come out (except maybe website hits)---this isnt like some jackass DJ promising to play a new guns song and then blaming lawyers.

Amazon doesn't "play games".  They're a retailer.  They only list things they're told to list. That's the flat out truth of the matter.

if is automatic debted and they are "playing games" they (Amazon) must face a lot of complaints/bad reviews/sues

It's not like I would know, but I really doubt "Chinese Democracy" will be a double album. After 15+ years, Axl would have to have balls of brass to ask fans to shell out that much money. We here at the board (the the nutty kol-aid drinkers) would do it in a second, but not the more general fans.
