How about this.... Amazon got wind of the impending release of CD and listed it for pre-order thus getting a jump on all the competition.

This isn't supposed to be public knowledge, and that's why we've had the 'playing games' line.

Amazon have done something they shouldn't have done and Sanctuary won't be too happy about it?

What other big releases are coming out in 06, try and search for a few of those and see if any other albums/dvds are coming up. Isnt this time of year when all the release schedules, at least the very rough schedules are being sent out to all the retailers so they can prepare for the 06 releases!

The people behind Amazon aren't stupid. ?You could have typed in Chinese Democracy a year ago and GNR would have came up under related searches. ?So they know the CD is the next album, they also know that WTTJ is a greatest hits type(hence in the title the Best OF). ?They did not become a reputable online store by being naive or playing games.
 This is a chance for the fans to speak up and show the record companies the Chinese Democracy is really wanted. ?If CD gets into the top 10, that clearly states the fans want soon to be now. ?All the emails, the BS rumors ... this is the fans chance to show everyone that we want CD now, and the record companies aren't stupid either, if they had any hesistations after 2002, if CD gets into the top 10, then that should erase any doubt. ?But now its up to us !!

 No Amazon are NOT stupid---but major record chains aren't going to force the release of a record (they have no power to) nor would they lie to potential customers---something's up--and I agree, if this thing gets high on the sales chart and isnt taken down in the next few days, thats telling!

Regardless stores like bestbuy are goign to be ordering alot more then that. So if people are ordering bulk to push it into the top then good. ?Its better to be active in this situation and not passive hoping to hear for a release in a couple of months.

I find it very hard to believe that a company as large as Amazon.com would decide to play games by listing a Phantom Album. By doing this, they would only be 'playing' with a small group of people.

 I'm sure that someone there jumped the gun, and Sanctuary is in the process of trying to figure out how to handle this leak.

This is fuckin hilarious. I added 'Chinese Democracy' to my shopping cart earlier, and then when I click on the link from the product in the shopping basket it says 'Welcome to the Jungle'!

Eh, I just don't think this is anything to get excited about. Amazon will probably pull it any hour now. I'm sure the GnR camp isn't going to get scooped by Amazon. When the news is announced, my guess is that it will be news for everyone.
