Perhaps it's a litmus test for interest?

It's been listed so many times before on other CD sites, that is why I'm not too excited.

Merck says 'Amazon are playing games'

There is also nothing listed on Universal's release schedule (as of right now)

Jarmo thinks what I thought he would think and I think that's realistic.

But this? Come on, why should Amazon "play games"?

That makes no sense at all. They don't get nothing out of it.

I dunno. I still think we should push the rank up, since that's the only way to force a statement.

btw, it's in the 900s now. Two more hours should be enough.

If ever, I think Universal is playing games. Not Amazon.

I find the idea that THE major online retailer would want to f*ck around with people for a larf a bit odd...it's not like they gain anything from preorders if the product doesnt come out (except maybe website hits)---this isnt like some jackass DJ promising to play a new guns song and then blaming lawyers.

That's all well and good, however the listing on amazon is for December 31st, 2025 according to what I see.  Seems like a nice little joke.

Amazon said that they put that due to the fact they haven't a fuck about a release date

when you confirm a pre-order the value is automatic debted from your credit card? or it will be debted when the release date is confirmed?
if is automatic debted and they are "playing games" they (Amazon) must face a lot of complaints/bad reviews/sues

No. You pay when the item is shipped.

And I'm still interested in Jarmo's opinion....

Ok, here you go:

Until there's a release date, I won't get too excited.

I know it's Amazon and they're a reliable store, but they do list things occasionally that get postponed and/or cancelled.

The fact that it has no release date is kinda telling. Nobody knows when it's coming out at this point. Nothing new there.

I don't know why they're listing it though. Either someobdy at the supplier thinks CD is gonna be out or it's just an error.

/jarmo

how could it be just an error though? i mean thats a pretty big error there must some bit of truth behind this.........

What happens if this turns out to be WTTJ, and a fair amount don't realise and don't cancel their order? Bad reviews etc.

If you read the response RichardNixon got from AMazon, they put bizzare dates like that when they don't have a confirmed release date. It's their equivalent of TBD. To say this is nothing is or Amazon is playin games seems ludicrous to me-someone is feeding them this info (be it GH2 or CD) and I doubt they would put it up if it were unreliable. Uni doesnt have it on their release schedule? Well, it could be b/c the date is being worked out-not that the product doesnt exist in some form. And if they are still hammering out details or a promotion plan, it would make sense that management would want to keep it under wraps so they can implelemnt their plan correctly---I remain pessisimistic that we'll ever hear CD, even if a release date is announced by management, the label, etc. it could always be pulled. But to say that something isn't up or that a major retailer would arbtirarly put up something to jerk around potential customers is silly.

How about this.... Amazon got wind of the impending release of CD and listed it for pre-order thus getting a jump on all the competition.

This isn't supposed to be public knowledge, and that's why we've had the 'playing games' line.

Amazon have done something they shouldn't have done and Sanctuary won't be too happy about it?

Just speculation, but hey, I've got some spare time.
