Weird, the tour dates are for a tribute band called bad obsession (who I've seen and recommend), and one of the links is to their website, but I don't know what the UK Guns N' Roses thing is - are they renaming themselves?

The logo on that page is cool tho ?

I wouldnt watch a tribute band if i got free tickets and free food and drinks.

i play in a cover band.. and we do it just for the kicks.... just for the fun part

I got this email with the topic "Hi , at last... the first UK Guns N' Roses 2006 Tour Dates !!" and got really excited cause I thought it was finally going to be the real thing, and then I looked at the locations and realized something was wrong with the fact that there were all these small towns/clubs on the list. Oh well, just another let down in the life of a gnr fan.

Cover band is different, U play a wide variety of bands Im sure and are like u said having fun.

Tribute bands actually try to be the bandmembers, they actually try to imitate,act,sound everything like someone else.

I just dont dig tryin to be a replica of someone famous to make money.

Anyone know of any GnR tribute bands playing around the Ottawa, Ontario, Canada region?

After seeing the real thing I'd like to check that out more for shits and giggles more than anything else.

(this does not mean I won't post a thread about this, I will, but only if noone responds to this question in the positive)
