hmm, was that the one from Live era? i may be newer footage spliced in. I always thought that it was a cool original mic stand, but then i saw that Freddie mercury used something similar back in Queen's heyday.

I believe Freddie Mercury just unscrewed the top half of his (generic two piece) mic stand at times (don't think it was manufactured that way). As for Axl's...I remember reading somewhere that he had his mic custom made (if you look at it closely, it's actually just a few peices of pipe welded together as oppossed to a solid structure). I always thought it remeniscent of Mercury when Axl would only use the top half of his stand.

yeah...lots to debate here...Axl's stand was actually made out of pipe cleaners!!!

I know but that's what i meant. Axl used Freddies Idea of walking around with 1/2 of a mic stand. I know axl's was custom made. And Freddies is the peice from a Boom stand

Dudes, I actually saw the ORIGINAL It's So Easy video, not the live era one.  A copy was leaked, since Axl tried to buy back every single tape cuz, there are damaging things to his reputation about Erin Everly.  Check it out, someone linked it on this board, forget where though.
