It may be fall in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, but the Big Mountain Concert Company will turn up the heat as they stage a rare, outdoor appearance by KISS on Blackcomb Mountain, Saturday, September 15. This incredible concert will be the first of three exciting weekends starring big-name, international artists in the spectacular mountain setting of Whistler, Host Mountain Resort of the 2010 Winter Games.
KISS is one of the world's biggest rock bands and they have played more than 3,500 concerts in front of 78 million fans around the world. "We're absolutely thrilled to be playing host to this legendary band," said Tourism Whistler Vice President of Marketing, Arlene Schieven. The world famous rockers will bring their extraordinary show to the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain at the Coca-Cola Tube Park Saturday, September 15th in a unique one-time outdoor concert event.
KISS invented stadium rock with their sci-fi Kabuki costumes, outrageous theatrics and, of course, their trademark make-up. In their extensive world tours, KISS has cultivated the most loyal fan base in music known as The Kiss Army. The stunning showmanship this band brings to the stage is overshadowed each time by their huge body of music. "Destroyer", "Rock and Roll All Night", "Love Gun" and "Alive" became the soundtracks for an entire generation of fans. KISS has sold 80+ million records throughout their career, and has earned more than 55 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards since receiving their first gold record for KISS "Alive!" in 1975.
KISS rocked 800 million viewers at Super Bowl XXXIII, breathed fire into the closing ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and welcomed the New Year in Times Square for four consecutive years. Now they are ready to rock Whistler.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 29 at 8:00 a.m. PST and are available online at

FROM BlabberMouth.net
According to secureTicket, KISS' previously announced September 15, 2007 concert on Blackcomb Mountain in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada has been cancelled due to "logistical problems at the mountain concert site." If you have already purchased tickets for this concert, secureTicket will be processing the refunds during the next 48 hours.
KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley was forced to pull out of the band's July 27 show in San Jacinto, California, about 90 miles (145 km) east of Los Angeles when his heart started beating at more than twice the normal level.
Stanley wrote on his web site that he was advised performing would be risky, and the show went on without him. Fellow principal Gene Simmons told fans the group would play as a trio, and turned the show into a tribute to his ailing bandmate.
Well that sucks for all that were planing on going

KISS performed Friday night (October 26) at a private event for the Entrepreneurs' Organization at the Beach at Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Entrepreneurs' Organization is a global community of business owners, all of whom run companies that exceed $1 million (U.S.) in revenue.
Over 1,500 business owners rocked from the opening of "Deuce" through the ending of "Rock and Roll All Nite" as KISS tore through a 17-song set. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a spring break party with many attendees standing in the pool that surrounded the stage, singing along to each song as beach balls flew through the air.
KISS' setlist was as follows:
01. Deuce
02. Shout It Out Loud
03. Makin' Love
04. Calling Dr. Love
05. Lick It Up
06. I Love It Loud
07. Do You Love Me?
08. Firehouse
09. Heaven's On Fire
10. Christine Sixteen
11. I Was Made For Lovin' You
12. God Of Thunder
13. Let Me Go, Rock & Roll
14. Love Gun
15. Black Diamond
Encore:
16. Detroit Rock City
17. Rock and Roll All Nite

I'm glad Ace is still out there, its good for him.
btw has any one seen KISSology II? i thought it was great, i'm glad how they really focused on there comeback in the 80s instead of there sotf downfall from "The Elder" (but a world with out heros is still a good song imo)
the only thing is that it has some typos that i noticed were on disk 3 it skips a few songs and goes strait to the next concert. and i really liked the video at the end with Carr
it made me laugh when he mooned the camera..................too soon

I bought all three DVD sets the other day.
I didn't think there was too much from the
Elder
era, only a few songs....and I think that album's great, so no problem.

generally "the Elder" isn't to bad but it ruined KISS as a hard rocking band, at least that was the highth of there down fall. But then they soon came back kickin' ass
Question*
i'm hoping theres a bigger KISS nerd than me that knows the answer to this question but, Does any one know if there is some thing out there like an album or an EP or anything that has the original recordings done by Wicked Lester?
any info would be great.
thanks in advanced

A few songs from Wicked Lester you can find on the 5 disc set.
The unreleased album
The proper recording sessions for Wicked Lester's album, which began in November 1971 at Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village, took place during multiple sessions and were finished in July 1972. The album was a mixture of original material and covers, showcasing the group's eclectic style.[4][2] Three of the songs recorded for the Wicked Lester album would later resurface as Kiss songs, with varying degrees of similarity:
"We Wanna Shout It Out Loud" ? A cover version of a song that was originally recorded by The Hollies in 1970. The chorus would serve as the inspiration for "Shout It Out Loud" from 1976's Destroyer, although the two songs are completely different in every other respect.
"Love Her All I Can" ? Written by Paul Stanley, this would resurface on 1975's Dressed to Kill. Both versions feature similar arrangements.
"She" ? Written by Gene Simmons and Steve Coronel prior to the formation of Wicked Lester, this was also re-recorded for the Dressed to Kill album. The melody and arrangement in the two versions are nearly identical, although the original had congas and a flute that the Kiss version did not.
The only part of Wicked Lester's album to actually be released, initially, was the cover art, which was used for The Laughing Dogs' debut album in 1979.[1] CBS Records, who owned the rights to the album, remixed it and planned to release it in late 1976 to capitalize on Kiss's commercial popularity. Kiss and Neil Bogart, the president of Casablanca Records (Kiss's label), purchased the album from CBS for $137,500 and never released it. Eventually, Kiss bought Bogart's share outright.[2][4] Three songs from the album ("Keep Me Waiting," "She," and "Love Her All I Can"), however, were released in 2001 as part of Kiss's five-disc box set.

This is the box set being referred to:
http://www.amazon.com/Kiss/dp/B00005R72D/ref=sr_1_23?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1199293080&sr=1-23
There is an entire album worth of Wicked Lester stuff circulating though in bootleg circles, not hard to find.
