Here Today...

« on: November 19, 2005, 04:10:30 AM »

I guess its about time to start talking about whether GNR will be playing anywhere this New Year's Eve. I'd like to point out that the Goo Goo Dolls are playing the House of Blues in Las Vegas on December 31st of this year. Five or so years ago (01.01.01), Guns n' Roses played a separate show around 3:30am after the Goo Goo Dolls on New Years Eve at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. Coincidence? Probably. I'm pretty sure the rumors of the 010101 show started around now though.

What a dignified comment. Instead of making a point like a normal person would, you resort to insults.

Silly wars on this thread.

Man thats why I don't post much anymore.

I've seen it all.

U2 has a lyric from the song New Years Day

"All is quiet on New Year's Day
A world in white gets underway"

But....

"I will begin again
I, I will begin again"

**note any lyric experts they are live lyrics from Slane Castle"

any chance of something like this happening?/ a little one show jam session.. You don't need cd to have a little bringing in the new year fun with a band you should soon be touring with again.. A new years eve show would be some nice buzz for the group.. I had posted vr was doing a small venue and they have nothing to promote, just a nice jam session for a small audience.. That would be damn cool of axl could get something like that together.. They also could do it in a few eeks notice being the tickets would be gone quickly..

Another year another NYE rumour?!  Roll Eyes

What are you talking about a rumour? I haven't seen anything about GN'R playing a New Year's concert this year. What I said was just an idea. A wishful one at that.

The "Welcome To The Jungle" being released Dec. 20 is really Chinese Democracy, and the Velvet Revolver concert on New Year's is really Guns N' Roses.  heh

they could easily announce a little new years eve show in la with only a couple days notice and it would sell out, not that it will happen though

I don't think it will happen because I think (or at least I hope) that Axl learned his lesson from the last go around. That lesson being no more one-off shows when there is really no reason to have them since the album is not done.

Sure it would be awesome if the album was done and they had a new years show to announce that it was done and that they will be touring in the next couple months, but the odds of that happening are not very good.

I think we should just skip ahead and start the annual thread about gnr playing at the superbowl.
