Dave, in a different thread, you edited out your comment about most fans liking the new songs except Riyadh and Silkworms. Its strange that you're taking both sides on the subject of Riyadh. Out of the thousands of GNR fans at these forums, you only got 20-30 people to say its a good song.

What I said in the other thread was of the new songs a lot of gnr fans think their material is just as strong as the old stuff save Riyadh and silkworms. Meaning on those two songs the board is pretty much split where where as songs like Madagascar and the blues pretty much everyone likes them.? I NEVER said that everyone likes Riyadh like you said no one likes it. I know there are people that do not like it but more people on the boards like it than hate it that was the simple point that you seem to keep missing.

As for out of all the people on the forum I only got 20-30 people to say they like the song but once again you failed to tell the? whole story. You only got like 6 people to say they didnt like it.

30 people is a good size sample to get an indication of the trend. We have no reason and nothing to gain by lying about whether we like it or not. Just because I'm a fan, it doesn't mean I am a closed minded as to thinking every GN'R song is great.

Yay for me. I also like Silkworms, I love the attitude and lyrics.

I vote a HELL NO, NAY. Rihadh SUCKS. Silkworms SUCKS MORE!.  These two are as bad as My World and that SUCKED BIG TIME.  Blues is a great new song as is Madagascar.  But how can anyone possibly say that Riyadh is the best of the new songs? That is just bewildering. Even a charter member of the Axl smoochers club like Dave wouldnt' say Riyadh is the best new song, right Dave-o?

Funny thing is the people that seem to dislike riyadh and a few of the other songs all  seem to have ex gnr members in their user name. Ironic isnt it? 

As for riyadh being the best new song no but its still a good song.

I would take Riyadh over 3 songs on AFD-the electric version of You're Crazy, Anything Goes, and Think About You. I like it more than Chinese Democracy as well. The riff and underlying electronic groove would sound wicked in a studio version. I hope it is on the album.

Yay,  it's no Blues, Maddy, or IRS...but I yay it evenly with Chinese D.  My only nay on the new songs is Silkworms.  Silkworms should be sub-titled "My World Part II."  I give OMG a push...
