I just can't get enough of this album!

"Give me Novacaine" it's mind blowing. " Are we the Waiting" it's going to be a huge single. I may be getting ahead of myself here, but it wouldn't surprise if " American Idiot" took the Best Rock Grammy home next year upseting "Contraband"

How many copies has this album sold in the States? it's reached #1 in UK, how high in the charts has it been in the US?

I have the album and i really like it.
Though it needs to be listening few times, because at first i thought it was a bit boring. My fave songs at the moment are American Idiot, She?s a Rebel and Give Me Novocaine.

I'm not quite sure, but I think that they play the American Idiot album in its entirety. And then for encore, they play some of the older hits like "When I Come Around" and "Longview". Either way, I'm sure it'll be a great show. Have fun.

I like Green Day, but I don't think "American Idiot" is quite as good as people make it out to be. I really liked Dookie/Insomniac.

insomniac is a class album. A proper punk album, the rest is very weak.

Actually, Green Day was my favorite band throughout high school. Before I was "disease51883", I was "basketcase51883". Heh. I have all of their albums up to American Idiot, but due to my ever changing tastes, I haven't got around to getting that one. The songs from it that I've heard on Fuse and various talk shows have been cool though.

i just saw green day and they were awesome and they did let people play instruments to, lucky bastards. they played most of american idiot and also longveiw, basketcase, she, minority. then they walked off and i was pissed off that they didnt play when i come around and boulevard of broken dreams. then they came out again and played those songs and the crowd just went crazy. they also played we are the champions and make me wanna shout beleive it or not. then they finished with good riddance. simple plan opened for them and people were throwing food at them the poor dudes. i'll shutup now

something billy joe supposedly signed a new band *i cant remember their name* but they mysteriously sound like green day,

Pinhead Gunpowder. Sound like a crap version of Green Day.

The 'secret' band was The Network as they wear masks so you 'don't know' it's them but of corse you can tell and Pinhead Gunpowder doesn't have Mike or Tre in it so i assume he was meaning The Network and they did release an album.

I love the early stuff. My friends and I were into 1,039 and Kerplunk before Dookie exploded. I love that early shit. I like all of there stuff. The new album is great.  I like those first two albums better than Dookie, i really related to everything they were saying in those songs. I was just about ready to graduate from High School when i started getting into that stuff, i still listen to those albums alot, they bring back alot of damn good memories. ok

Who's the second guitarist they have?  He's not really even acknowledged at interviews etc...  Is that ghythm guitar position just a musician for hire every so often?

actually that second guitarist does all the lead work.

he does the solos too.

quite strange really. maybe billie didnt want to have to worry about pulling off the solos live. Huh

Which would be strange because if you've seen them live before, you know that Billie Joe can play a lot more than the power chords in their songs.
