Oh fuck off if you're not going to post anything worthwhile.
I must say, I wasn't very impressed with the single at all. But, I've never been a Greenday fan. They bored me when I was younger, and now they kind of irritate me.
Respect to them for what they've done for music though...

I am not really into Green Day. I don't own any of their albums or know that much 411 when it comes to this band. However, I must say... I was shocked when I found out that this song was written / performed by them. I absolutely love it!
Nonetheless, I will no be buying this cd. Uhhh, somewhat, yeah, somewhat broke at the moment!

Read between the lines Eintstein, it means don't post pointless shit that dosn't add to the discussion, an example being what you posted.

Nah, Green Day has a wider sonic pallette than any other punk-pop band.? They've got all the loud fast electric punk, sure, but they've also got acoustic ballads (Time of Your Life, Macy's Day Parade), the occasional harmonica-dominated song (Hold On) and even experiments in world music, if you can call it that ("Misery" sounds like an Italian Mafia gathering).? But yeah, the main thing about them is their tuneful pop sense.? I think what we agree on is that, like a lot of punk bands, they still have a tendency to fall into punk-o-rama songs, which are short, fast, and not all that catchy snippets of buzzsaw electric guitar.? Things like Platypus (I Hate You) on Nimrod fall into that category, although really Green Day is less guilty than a lot of bands (e.g. The Hives) in this area.
Is it just me, or is there something vaguely Newfoundland-sounding about Green Day sometimes?? Like, on Minority, Hold On, and Deadbeat Holiday, for some reason there's something that always reminds me of Newfoundland.? Maybe it's Billy Joe's style of singing?? Or the accordion in the background on Minority?? I dunno.

You forgot:
It's not cool to insult other members of this board!
Posts that only attack another poster without any contribution to the discussion aren't allowed. Anyone consistently attacking other board members will be banned.
BTW, used illusions, you got that bomb ass pussy.
Edit - On Topic: I really like the new single. I haven't heard anything else from the album, so I'll probably download a few tracks before deciding to buy it or not. I actually haven't gotten around to buying a Green Day album since Insomniac.

You should get Kerplunk!, it's their best in my opinion. You'd love it.

I?ll buy it as soon as i get some extra money.
It only took a year, but I finally have Kerplunk!!
Though, i haven?t listen to it yet.? As some of you know, my dog delivered a litter of 5 pups few days ago, and I?ve been quite busy and I don?t wanna bother them with loud music just yet.
People, what?s your fave songs from the album?
