My first bass equipment - yesterday I picked up a 'lot' second-hand.
1. a bass with the name 'AXE' on the headstock, can't really find out much about it (4string, PJ pickups)
2. a Charvel (Jackson-Charvel) bass in black, with numbered authenticity plate on the rear (4-string, J pickup) much like the one in this pic except the pickups

What do people think of this stuff? Any good? Any bad? The good thing is I only paid ?90 for the lot so I don't mind if it's not amazing stuff! I think the Charvel's quality personally.
My only problem as far as I know is the wiring is wrong on the Axe so only one pickup seems to be working. It also doesn't really have a proper paint job, it's primered (in a nasty grey) with a couple of slight nicks. What can people recommend I do with it as I'd like to keep both but this one needs sorting out. I'd like to get it working and get some damn colour on it!
