Is it just me, or does the whole Tina Chang thing conjure up memories of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry's mom is disappointed to find out the woman she thought was Chinese really wasn't?  Will Ms. Chang have info. on Chinese Democracy?  If so, do we believe it if she's not of Asian descent??

It is funny that we are talking about a rock album here, not invading a country.  I don;t understand why the project needs to be so tight lipped.  What is the difference if she replies with a real update?

The only thing I can guess is the more mystery that surrounds it the more people will want it. Assuming of course, that one day it comes out.

The wait for Illusions seemed like an eternity. Now that I look back on it, its hard to believe that the wait was only about two and a half years. This wait is much different than the UYI wait, and the difference isnt only in time. You always knew that UYI was on the horizon. GNR talked about it frequently, and ?other musicians who heard the studio sessions talked about them. There wasn't a wall of silence like there is with this wait. This may sound crazy, but I think there was more mystery over UYI than there is for CD. There was something real to anticipate, and it made the wait feel longer than it actually was. And buying those albums was unlike anything I've ever experienced. When this album is released, it will be more of a feeling of relief than euphoria.

but for your last post , i agree, that the wait seemd endless, almost too much to bear, but , on thesame token, like you aid people were talkin about it, I know I was there, and many times things got pushed back, Adler was fired, CD is the same on a larger scale, people tak about it, those who had heard various studio recordings, over the yrs, guess it come sdown to people takin this lineup as a band, and I agree its not like they had much time out for people to know them , but answer me this, james.
I have gone out to clubs and seen dizzy , and richard and tommy, got to talk to them , hell I even sent richard, dvds of the 2002 shows cause he didnt have them, after I talked to him playing at The Lions Den with Dizzy, last yr, .....my pointis, so amny people are lookin at this as just only axl, but these guys are commited,, i ws hanging out, talkin like an adult, interested, cause I love music and genuinly care, so for me , with each member I got to see and have a few words, have ashot, and just talk I know they are a band, are commited. And mind you , Richard , replysto emails from the heart, to fans, there is no auto response.

The Illusion albums came out in 1991.  I was born in 1973.  1991-1973 = 18. 

After repeated listenging to an album, I look forward to the next.  2005-1991=14.

I dont think anyone is denying the commitment of the "hired guns". Its more than obvious they are commited to the project. If they weren't, they would have bailed out years ago.
