Sure its shameless but so is the music buisness. A musician has got to eat and if that means encouraging fans to by some piss poor GH cd then I guess it will be done. Eventhough Axl, Slash, & Duff tried to prevent the first album, do you really think their that heartbroken now that its a multiplatinum success, and has inflated their bankaccounts to the sky? Probably not..and the former member and Axl alike probably wont like this GH either, but it all comes down to money in the end, not preserving the opinions of an internet forum.

And if this "attitude" that they take is indeed true, then alot of credibility is lost. Or any musician that "has to eat.'' Roll Eyes I'm sureMcDonlads will hire them.

Buckethead has his own thing going on; I doubt he will ever speak of GnR again. BTW, the guy is incredible.

This thing gets worse to me everytime i read a Dizzy interview. It isnt even a band.  He doesnt even know who is in the band at the moment.  Roll Eyes I mean you Dizzy does come across as a legit person, but come one enough is enough. I feel sorry for those guys actually, they obviously know about as much as anyone of us. It really is sad, those guys are all talented individuals and it is good they are doing there own thing but not knowing stuff like who is presently in your band , that too me is just sad. Axl must be paying them a helluva alot of money is all i have to say.

Does anyone really consider this a band at this point?

It's more or less a project, a work in an exhausting state of slow progression/regression for all intents and purposes.

Until they've produced something for public consumption and jelled as a unit on the road, I have a hard time referring to it as a band...

Damn, this sucks! crying Just when things were looking a little optimistic, we find out Dizzy doesn't know shit. How does he not know who's in the band? Does he not realize Buckethead left? He doesn't know about Greatest hits 2? Every time there's light at the end of the tunnel, the train stops. Its starting to look like the light at the end of the tunnel is a mirage.

It also will not surprise me in the least at anytime if Tommy would announce that he will be joining Soul Asylum as a full time member. You are right, everytime there is atleast the slightest glimmer of hope, it stops.

I would never consider nugnr as a band, even if an album is released.

It was NOT the Dizzy's exact words, but the guy's interpretation. If Dizzy said it would be the same line-up as 2002 (except Buckethead), how the hell couldn't he know who's in the band?

He said about Buckethead (the guy told at mygnr.com later): "yeah, he used to play with us" or something like that.

I think it's really funny how some of you just wants to see the wrost scenario, the wrost interpretation of the facts. "Dizzy don't know shit, blah blah blah". Same old shit. Always bitching about something, even if they don't get the facts straight. rant

Was this radio show done before or after the "sooner than you think" interview? If it was done after Dizzy lost all credibility for me! It would be really obvious that he does not have a clue what he is talking about! My idea is also that the band did not meet again after the 2002 tour! How can he not know who is in the band??
And by the way if I hear "soon" one more time I gonna riot....There are so many words in the english language that can be used: anon, betimes, shortly, in a little while, presently....

« Reply #30 on: November 04, 2005, 09:22:56 AM »

There's nothing wrong with telling the truth also. If Dizzy says GREEN and the colors RED then Axl would tell DIZZY STOP! I would think Dizzy knows what to say by now, only because he talks with Axl. Dizzy is told what to tell his fans, thats the only reason why he gives interviews. Public presure sucks, we'll have more interviews until were BLUE in the face. I only wish we could here from AXL wishing we'd hear some Official News.

As a matter of fact, yes.  I can name one person who considers this a band:  Richard Fortus.

You and others may have a hard time referring to this as a band, and I understand why, but if Fortus says it's a band, then it's a band.  He's a part of it, so I'll take his word for it.

So there, Soon, very soon, very very sooooooon and so on.

Exactly voodoochild. Well it's shame that BH is not included.

If Dizzy said this
Quote
"Yeah I heard that was coming out too. People all over the country have been telling me about it. Honestly I don't know if it is real but if it is you and everyone else should buy it."
it should be read this way
"there's no truth to the talk of the net.
if you see another GNR GH coming up, don't worry. The next time it shouldn't be like the last one that hindered CD but something worth buying."

Once again, if the Philadephia no-show was not Axl's fault, then why wouldn't he explain the reasons.  If he is innocent he should speak the truth because he has nothing to hide.  I mean WTF?  It has almost been 3 years now since that no-show.  Even if there were legal issues here, isn't 3 years enough to settle them?  I know things move slowly in the courts, but what the hell?

If it wasn't the bands fault, you would figure that they would profess their innocence

Because it may not be the band's fault, but they were told to not blame CC or the venue due to legal reasons.

Seems unlikely. What legal reasons? CC won't support them on the next  (rofl) tour? They won't for sure. They will go to court if Axl tells the truth that CC did something wrong? Why? How? Sorry, but I don't believe it for a second.  no
