German record store JPC expects GN'R album + single for pre-order in November

I went to JPC record store (a chain and mailorder, no small local shop) in Germany and also wrote them an e-mail, asking them if my info about the "Catcher In The Rye" single for November 29 and the "Chinese Democracy" album on December 6 was correct, and if I could already pre-order these CD's.

I got the same response from both the employe in the store and via e-mail: no album or single can be pre-ordered yet, but they are "expecting that we will be able to offer these CD's for pre-order by mid November". However, at the same time, they say they have no info yet!

I don't know what to make of this, just felt like sharing their response. Feel free to ask them yourself, their website is www.jpc.de

We have no information about the new Guns N' Roses CD yet. At the moment, no album or single can be pre-ordered. Please check our website again in the middle of this month. I am expecting that we will be alble to offer these CD's then.

You influenced their answer. By mentioning dates for 'Catcher in the Rye' and Chinese Democracy, it guranteed that sort of response. If they thought those were being released on those specific dates everywhere, its only logical that they would think they would also get it. Next time, dont mention specific rumored dates, and you'll get a more realistic answer.

I agree. The text sounds like an answer he wrote based on thinking that YOU know what you're talking about. 

I just wrote a mail with the question if (and if so, when) a new Album and/or Single is expected somewhere in the near future.

Don't be so disheartened, mate.
I bet you'd get the same response even if you enquired about any band with a song n an album title and an expected date you made up.

I guess they don't have anything, and the response just depends on who you talk to over there at JPC.

I also mailed them and just gozt the answer. I just asked if they knew a release date for CD or GH2 and they said that there were no release dates right now but that the CDs would appear in their regular list as soon as there is any info. So as long as we don't find anything by doing a search on their website I guess there is nothing to hope for.

However, I just preordered Bucketheads "Kaleidoscalp", due out November 22, and jpc confirmed, that this one's for real

Translation:

I can not assure you that these CD's can be ordered in the middle of the month. We have to wait until our supplier makes us an offer about the CD's or else we can not indicate a price. I assume we will get the neccesary information until the middle of the month.
