nice of you to play the race card...since i have a firm grasp of english it doesnt make it difficult to understand the simple lyrics, which lets face it has been done before and done better

Hmm, not how id describe their curious mix of 'lets make money after years of never truly breaking through' and guitar work that wouldn't challenge a guy with one arm....

As for Arctic Monkey - blatant clone of most 60's rock acts, the guitar tone, the song structure, i hate 60's rock and a clone of it is just misguided...

Curiously enough they have already admitted thats what they are doing....

I actually like Kasabian....and await their follow up quite eagerly - i know they are a Stone Roses tribute band..but i really like the Roses, and anything that sounds like it gets a spin in my cd player....

yea intelligent lyrics...but since you think the stone roses are good......ummm...not to my ears...stone roses lyrics are predictable, one dimensional and move slower than a 2 legged ant with arthritis...

I just can't get into this band even though they seem like a decent band. I mean, I don't dislike any of their songs. Yet, I don't really enjoy any of their songs either. There isn't one song that sticks out to me and grabs my attention. They are all just completely average.

Grendood came off sounding like an idiot, but in a way I think he is on to something. I think the Monkeys will definitely be an English thing and won't do as well in the rest of the world. I think they are one of those bands that will make sense to a certain time and place but don't really translate well elsewhere. Just like the Stone Roses.

Indie....modern indie, is a big pile of wank, this band dont do it any favours.

Id never listened to bands like oasis and stone roses before and the indie classification and hearing oasis;s new stuff i didnt think much of them. anyways i somehow got round to listening to the "whats the story (morning glory)" album and its a great album.

Artic Monkeys suck, that song which got to number 1? Is so crap, how any of the songs that get to number one these days actually get there is just something i do not understand.

Some of you are by far taking the band and album waaaaaaaaay to seriously..

Im Canadian, so maybe Ive gravely misread this band, but to me, there just a great, great party band with a shockingly impressive debut album.

Last weekend I had 10 of my closest friends over for a few beers, and through this record on being the only person in the room who even knew what the band's name was...

Needless to say, the album was a huge fucking hit...

I mean how could it not when you have a good 8 tall boys in you, and "Dancefloor" hits...its just pure anarchy!

Do yourselves a favor and buy the fucking album, and listen to it with an open mind..

Ignore the "stupid" lyrics....who really cares if that's their strongpoint...

Lord knows AC/DC were far from the most "lyrically brilliant" band of their time..

Oh, and whoever said Green Day were better....I dont mean any offense, but fuck right off..

Since American Idiot dropped 2 years ago, us Canadians at least have had Green Day force-fed down our throats left, right and center..

That album is a disgrace to say Dookie, or Insomniac...do you own those albums?...
