Civ has always been mediocre. Get Alpha Centauri and Master of Magic if you're really into turn based strategy games. Civ is low brow and crude compared to these two gems.

For FPS, play the original Doom and Doom 2 with fan made megaWADs. They're often better than the original maps. Every FPS after Doom just hasn't mattered, since none of them are as good.

Rainbow Six Lockdown was great. I love the whole series. I just passed the game last weekend. I'm really looking forward to the next Splinter Cell. Oh yeah, and Quake 4.

Planescape: Torment
(released for PC in '99)

As far as storyline goes, this one is without a doubt one of the best computer games ever. The graphics are also very eerie, unique and beautiful. And then there's the ending... OMG.

I should play it again some time, it's been a while.

Championship 2 97/98 - The game at it's absolute peak (for me), before they started adding to much bullshit, it was simplistic, yet lengthy and enjoyable, easy to play yet difficult to master (unless you're as good as me  Tongue )

Pro Evolution Soccer 4 - Kicks the hell out of the FIFA series, awesome football game although i'm yet to play the 5th...

Grand Theft Auto - Canny beat the original, once again simplistic and lots of fun, although the 3rd edition on the PS2 is decent after that they got a bit dodgy, they kept getting excellent reviews but i thought there was just too much, there is such a thing as overkill.

WWF No Mercy - Best wrestling game ever and this is back on the N64.  Awesome gameplay, roster and storyline mode, great multiplayer to.  Smackdown games have got better to (less arcade like now) and i can't wait for the new one in a few weeks....

Extreme Warfare Revenge - The wrestling version of Champ Manager and available for free off the net, well worth getting for any wrestling fans...

Bomberman - Love the SNES version of this, still have fun playing this with the emulator i got, total no-brainer fun..

....And my computer can't handle beautiful looking games though the ones i've played on friends computers seem to sacrifice decent gameplay/storyline for wonderful looking graphics, a lot like Hollywood films these days...

Oh nearly forgot Counter-Strike awesome game, played it at my friends loads, never been able to play it at home because of my 56k connection it's just too slow....but wait....i got broadband yesterday...... Cool

Oh yeah, I forgot you work at UbiSoft! I'm a BIG fan! beer Right now I am playing Prince of Persia: Warrior. They did a much better job on this one. Its very hard though. The storyline kinda sucks, but the graphics are excellent and the gameplay is great also. I am looking forward to King Kong. The screenshots look incredible!

there is the 4th one coming out (i'm not gonna bash on splinter cell but it after 3 games, it's time to stop).

for people who got PS2 : the sequel to ICO is coming and out and will be cool i guess.

i just wasted 4 hours on civ4. civilization has always been a drug more than a game.
