Mike, dont forget Metallica's "Punk Cover EP", Garage Days. It didn't sell as well as their other albums, but 'The Small Hours' is one of their best songs. 'Last Caress' is pretty cool also. They eventually had this song as their encore. I also liked how they put the price of the album on the albums title($5.98 tape, $9.98 cd). As far as i know, its the only time that has been done.

Please do! As soon as possible!

This has no place in the GN'R section. When will people understand?

Jarmo, why do you always make an example out of me when it comes to this kind of stuff? People mention other bands in this section all the time. This thread was about the evolution of GNR. Obviously, some comparisons would be made, and this time it was about the "evolution" of metallica. I just reminded everyone about that EP. I dont understand why I am always singled out when everyone else does it. Is it because I'm a "whining basher"? hihi

Because your post was the last one in the thread when I looked.  Tongue

If you ask me...bands like Metallica and AC DC made the same albums over and over again.

Well, you should listen Justice, then the Black album, then Load. Roll Eyes

Whatever dude....I know all those albums...I get the same feeling from all of them...

The only stuff I can appreciate is their early stuff...Enter Sandman has some nasty guitar work, but some of the worst lyrics ever written.

Nothing says rock n' roll like a child's song about being scared of the boogy man...."girppin' ya pillow tieeeeeeeeght....exit light?...enter night?..."

Oh christ why is this turning into a bloody metallica thread? They are a bloody heavy metal band!! Guns are on a completley different plain to bands like that! For any metallica fans out there I am not dissing the band I'm just saying that there is not really any comparison between the two bands!

Once again, stop talking about Metallica, or this is going to get locked.

lock it up then...cuz we have so much else to talk about...do you guys get paid to do this? cuz if u don't...why the hell do u care?

it's all relevant in some way...so who cares? sure you can divide up the message board into your cute little catagories, but it all comes down to this...Gn'R...as much as I love 'em...is dead...for all intents and purposes...for whoever's fault it is....they're dead and there isn't a damn thing any of us can do about it.

So what else is there to talk about?

So why do you use this board if you beleive the band to be dead?

Yeah, I get paid 10 grand a month. Bitchin' huh?

Whether you agree or not with our "cute little categories" is irrelevant. Metallica is off-topic in this section and that's it. And if you have a problem with that and think that GN'R is dead and buried, do us all a favor and fuck off.

Now this is definitely locked.
