cd tracklist question

i was readin the other day some of Axl's views on the UYI records and he said that he considers them to be one album. He also said that the first side of UYI1 is similar to AFD and as the record goes on the music gets more complicated and one can see clearly how much the band had evolved since AFD.
I was wondering if Axl will follow the same approach when he decides about the tracklist of CD. Do u think that it would be better if CD started like UYI and as the record goes on the songs became more complex and modern or would u prefer CD to be completely different from anything else GNR has released from start to finish?
IMO the first approach would be better because it would ensure a smooth transition from old GNR to nu GNR

I think that was the plan a few years back.
They had enough material for at least two albums and according Axl some of it probably was "too advanced" for old fans:
So we have material that we think is too advanced for old Guns fans to hear right now and they would completely hate, because we were exploring the use of computers [along with] everybody really playing their ass off and combining that, but trying to push the envelope a bit.
---
The second leans probably a little more to aggressive electronica with full guitars, where the first one is definitely more guitar-based.

Jarmo, don't you think the musical direction has changed over the years? Axl said that over 6 years ago.

jarmo actually said that it was the plan 6 years ago. we`ll see if this plan changed, but i think it`s a pretty good idea to start with songs that sound similar to what gnr used to and to use the more advanced stuff in later records.

It depends on what kind of stuff it is (was?). If the second or third album is going to be like a 12 "oh my god", "my world" or "silkworms" type songs, i wouldn't call it "an evolution"...
You may know my point, I'm a huge fan of Classic-Rock music, to a certain extent, there is nothing better. You can make loads of musical electronic experimentations, but finally you always come back to Classic-Rock music, because there is nothing better.

Either way i hope we get a box set somewhere down the road of all the scrapped stuff from 96-99 and even 2000-2002. Id love to hear the stuff Axl and duff were working on before robin and all them came into the pic, and id love to hear the stuff with axl, robin, and freese version of gnr without BH and fortus.

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

That would be awesome, the only thing is, with reports that Axl never put any lyrics to most of these songs that were worked on, it might not be that great of a box set.

well i know your point. especially about industrial music
i don`t think the second album will(??) consist of songs like oh my god, silkworms, etc. those songs seemed to be from the "first wave", because if the plan to release the more advanced songs later is right, then it would make no sense to release them first. maybe this "plan" was created after oh my god was released, but i think it wasn`t. i guess songs like madagascar or the blues will be released on chinese democracy and more advanced stuff later. this way axl can familiarise the fans with his new style slowly.................. if advanced stuff means songs like IRS i`m fine with it, but i also like oh my god and rhyiad : ok
