You mean taking the number 1 and 2 spots?
I'm not too sure about this, I think I've read Zeppelin III ans IV topped the charts at one time for a while (in the US) so did Pink Floyd with Dark Side... and the Wall.

They are. I believe it was the 2001 edition. They are in it for being the first band to have two seperate albums open at #1 and #2 on the charts.
They are in it, I just can't remember which edition, but I think it was 2001 or maybe 02.

For over 10 years, Sweet Child O Mine held the record for most requested video in MTV history. I'm not sure if that record still stands. I remember hearing this on MTV back in 1999.

I dont think that is correct. If I remember in 1991 and in 1988 both had two albums in the top 5 since the beatles. They were however the first to have two albums debute #1 and 2 on the charts. Some rap band did this a few years ago.. But I dont think LZ or PF ever did it. Unless the article I read in 1991 ws not correct.

GNR were the first band to put out 2 albums on the same day, and also having those at #1 and 2. GNR were the second band to have 2 albums in the top 5 simultaneously. Iron Butterfly was the first. I dont think Led Zep or the beatles ever did that, but I could be wrong.

in my guiness world records, there's no mention of the amount of guitar solos or same albums on the same day reaching #1 and #2

I think the record was called "Most Impressive Chart Entry" or something.
And there were also another mention about AFD... Being the bestselling debut album for a rockgroup or just a group ( I can't remember) or something.
So like Mama Kin said, they are in it...

GNR dont have the record for best selling debut album anymore. Hootie and the Blowfish have it. At least they did in the late 90's. I guess GNR might have got it back since the Blowfish CD doesn't sell as well now as AFD.

The Beatles April 4, 1964
in the world there are a lot of good artists/rock bands who have done masterpieces called albums, the Beatles just make songs to call'em albums, if you hear a Beatles? album it's just has 2 or 3 good tracks but if you hear a gnr's one it's full of masterpieces so there's something called corruption , that's what the cute Beatles have bein' doin' since they were made up to sell their faces n' lyrics when they didn't make good music before, their company records spends too much money to keep the Beatles alive to date, so no matter what gnr do the Beatles will be the number 1 wrongly!
