Its an art project, in which every single person in the world can be a part of... I thought it was awesome and I'm already submitting a piece...(you can edit yours at any time you log in) which you must create with your mouse/tablet, as the pieces are created using the site's painter program.

Please go see!

Oh, and an edit...  this photograph which is fucking awesome!! Its so sick, but its awesome!!

Ashes and Snow

There's a very special exhibition that is currently touring the world and I wanted to share it with all of you.? The exhibition is called 'Ashes and Snow'.

I consider myself very fortunate to have experienced it while it was in Los Angeles in 2006.? I don't want to over-hype it, if that's even possible, so let me just say this is something truely special and I'll leave it at that.?

Here's the link to the official website for those of you who are interested.? Perhaps someone could even put up an image or two.

^^^? It's nice to see that someone here is familiar with this exhibit!

I'm not sure where you live, but from what I understand, this exhibition has no final destination and will continue to travel around the world.? Perhaps someday it will be closer to you.? At the moment, the show is currently scheduled to be in Tokyo from March 11th to June 24th, 2007.? I'm not sure where it's heading after that.

Although there's no substitute for actually being there, I believe you can still purchase a dvd that contains the imagery shown in the main room of the exhibit... and it's mind blowing.? I purchased a copy at their gift shop as I was leaving, but I think you can order them via their website as well.?

Again, there's no substitute for actually being there, but if you're unable to attend... the dvd alone will probably blow you away.?

W.R.

Ashes and Snow at the Santa Monica Pier....yes I remember it was cool.  Too many visitors when I went, so if it stops by again, I'll be sure to go when it's less crowded.  It's my time to meditate, damn it!

Apparently, Wingmakers is some kind of New Age/cult religion. I still like the artist's work in spite of that.

I haven't seen this picture before. I really like it. In my head it talks about liberation from loneliness.. Who knows what the artist was thinking..
Thanks for posting that, sisterofyu!

That's an interesting take on it. How did you get there?
