Well we've had Overrated Bands threads, Overrated Songs threads, and now it's time for an Overrated Albums thread. So which albums do you simply not get? I love Pink Floyd, but I really don't like The Wall. And Electric Ladyland - God that album is boring. Pearl jam's Yield - ...............

Kiss- Destroyer. Their best album is Creatures of the Night. Destroyer is just mediocre compared to it.

How can you not like The Wall? Shocked

It's the greatest album of all time, next to AFD.

Shocked Dark side monotonous? no way, it's very changing. Money, the great gig in the sky, Us and Them are not repetitive, perhaps it's too dark or soft for your appreciation but it's not a overrated album, I think people recognize more The Wall than Dark Side.

I?m sure most of you have seen this already.

Agree on U2 that album its average, ok have some classics songs but it's not that groundbreaking.
And nirvana, even though I don't like nirvana, I have to say that record change the trend of those days and has a great inpact in music nowadays.

anyone say Green Day's "American Idiot"? yes, it is a great album, the best by Green Day... but nothing as good as what everyone puts it as... "the greatest album of the decade"... "punk's greatest album" etc... bs... the only reason it's so "big" is the guys in GD take a year and a half to release like 4 singles... drags out the album... keeps em in the spotlight... they ruined their own album if you asked me, its so fucking boring now....

Green Days "American Idiot".  Nirvanas "Nevermind"  Beatles "Sgt Peppers".  And the Stones are one of my favorite bands, but I don't think "Exile on main Street" were their best album.
