Wasted is a great tune - On throught the night and High'N'Dry are very much in the same vein - i'd have a look out for that album too
I bought that to actually at the same time, and so far it's alright but no where near as good IMO.

I saw Def Lep at Wembley Arena during the late 90s or maybe even 2000.   Joe says "We get lots of requests for this, but just so you know, we'll NEVER play anything from On Through The Night".   And then they played Wasted.

Was anyone else there?

Mar. 27 - Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Coliseum
Mar. 30 - Estero, FL - Germain Arena
Apr. 03 - Reading, PA - Sovereign Arena
Apr. 08 - Uncasville, CT - Mohegan Sun
Apr. 11 - Quebec, QC - Colisee Pepsi Arena

The trek will consist of around 20 dates.

The rest of the shows will be officially announced on Monday, January 7.

DEF LEPPARD's upcoming record will be called "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge", but no release date has been set for it. It will be their first album since last year's "Yeah!", which was a collection of covers of songs by artists who had influenced the band. Their most recent studio album of original material was 2002's "X".

I saw a little bit of Styx at last years concert.  They were pretty good from what I saw.  Tommy Shaw is a great musician.  Guess if it's not your style though, to each his own.

We are happy to finally announce the list of dates that make up the first (North American) leg of Def Leppard's 2008 world tour! Starting on March 27 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC, the band will play 19 shows in the States and Canada on this leg, supported by STYX and REO SPEEDWAGON. The full list is as follows:

March 27 - Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, NC
March 29 - Hard Rock, Hollywood, FL
March 30 - Germain Arena, Estero, FL
April 1 - Bi-Lo Center, Greenville, SC
April 3 - Sovereign Arena, Reading, PA
April 4 - The Borgata, Atlantic City, NJ
April 6 - Verizon Wireless Arena, Manchester, NH
April 8 - Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT
April 9 - Dunkin' Donuts Center, Providence, RI
April 11 - Colisee Pepsi Arena, Quebec City, QC
April 12 - Scotiabank Place, Ottawa, ON
April 13 - Copps Arena, Hamilton, ON
April 16 - MTS Centre, Winnipeg, MB
April 18 - Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, MI
April 19 - Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, MI
April 22 - Idaho Center, Boise, ID
April 23 - Spokane Arena, Spokane, WA
April 25 - The Pearl, Las Vegas, NV
April 26 - Coors Amphitheatre, San Diego, CA

(Please note that the dates announced above do not make up the full 2008 tour. The band are still working on dates for other parts of the world, and these will be announced as soon as they are fully confirmed.)

Members of the Def Leppard Fan Club will get a first shot at tickets for these shows. They will get exclusive access to the I Love All Access VIP packages presales, and get access to presales for 'regular' tickets through Ticketmaster (or, in some cases, eTix).

The first presales will take place between WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9 at 10.00AM (local venue time) and will end 24 hours later, on THURSDAY, JANUARY 10 at 10.00AM. During this period, Fan Club members can log in to the Def Leppard Fan Club site and get their own unique codes, which will give them access to the 24-hour presales on ILoveAllAccess.com and Ticketmaster.com. If you are not a member of the Def Leppard Fan Club yet, you can also buy a Fan Club bundle on Ticketmaster.com, which consists of a Fan Club subscription and concert tickets. The first round of presales is for the following shows:
March 27 - Greensboro Coliseum, Greensboro, NC
March 30 - Germain Arena, Estero, FL
April 3 - Sovereign Arena, Reading, PA
April 8 - Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT
April 11 - Colisee Pepsi Arena, Quebec City, QC
April 16 - MTS Centre, Winnipeg, MB
April 18 - Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, MI
April 19 - Joe Louis Arena, Detroit, MI

These shows will go on sale to the general public on Friday and Saturday (depending on the show). Furthermore, the Quebec City show presale tickets will be handled by eTix.com. There is a limit of four tickets you can buy during the presale. If you were a member of the Fan Club last year and you bought tickets for the band's 2007 tour, these do NOT add up to your total -- everyone's ticket count is reset.

Looking forward to seeing them for the 3rd straight year at Mohegan Sun.  Tickets aren't too bad either, $45-$70.

DEF LEPPARD has set a March 18 tentative U.S. release date (one day earlier internationally) for its new album, entitled "Songs from the Sparkle Lounge". It will be the band's first LP since last year's "Yeah!", which was a collection of covers of songs by artists who had influenced the band. Their most recent studio album of original material was 2002's "X".

Damn!  That means they'll be playing NEW songs on the tour.  Maybe that tentative release date will get pushed back.  Hopefully the new album has some good stuff on it.

I hear ya.  I'd have to think they'd still play the hits to appease the crowd.  But if they are promoting a new album you'd have to think they'll play 5 or so new songs at the minimum.  When they toured for "Yeah", they only played 2 or 3 songs from that album, but those were covers.  I would think they'd want people to hear more new ORIGINAL material .

From what I have heard/read, it could actually rock harder than what we have heard of Chinese Democracy Wink
