How did you overcome your fears / What are your fears?

I thought it would be nice to talk about how you people have "conquered" your fears if you have. Or what your fears are.

I'll go first.
I didn't like needles one bit, before a vaccine or a blood test I really had the cold sweat.
But it's not so big deal after I got some piercing and sat getting a tattoo for three hours (plus the two times it was re-inked).

My second big fear is hights, I can't stand them -> I'll jump a benji-jump next summer, now that will be cool!

And my last fear is to talk in front of lots of people, I hated to talk in front of people when in school. Now I'm talking in front of 40 people almost every week, and I''ve begun to like it.

I am VERY scared of being alone!  But not like being home alone fore 10 mins.  but More like not having anyone thinking of me.

My all time greatest fear is dying alone...


I am also deadly scared of the dark!!
I have developed a fear of silence latley.    At night I find myself playing music or singing myself to sleep because I cannot stand the silence, but Im sure that it will pass!!

Im not at all scared of talking in front of people I love it!!  But each to their own.. I bet you are like  "oh god " To some of my fears!  But this is a really good topic!!  I love hearing about other people!!    (im nosy)

But yeah I dont know about my "dark" fear.  Its quiet stupid.  But i find myself running away and towards NOTHING when i am in the dark.  Like I was at the park the other night.  With a freind and she dissapeared so i just started running.  Without a destination.  No idea why?

I don't have any fears about objects, animals, people or situations anymore. Serious now. You just have faith and you think reasonable.
A cool example: people use their blankets when they are afraid of dark once they get to sleep to cover themselves. How the blanket is gonna protect you from the danger? 
You just say, I don't fear anything, you repeat it, you believe it (even pretend about it) and you get rif of the fear.

You know what's worst of all?, I like being afraid, I used to close my eyes and do bungi jumping

My one fear is to wake every day (early) to a job I don't like to do, and do this for the next ten years. 

Why can't life be like in the movies?

I got a few fears...spiders, heights, public speaking...actually not so much anymore with the public speaking.  I've had to do it so much in college that I really don't mind it too much anymore, and I've gotten pretty decent at it.

The way I battle  fear is look at my paranoid side as a bad person trapped inside me, when I have a negative thought taking over my mind, I say to myself "leave (my name) alone" as if I'm telling this imaginary bad person to fuck off and mind their own business. I know, sounds very wierd but it helps a lot , works with me very well and I gain self control using this technique. Please, try it!
