From what I can make out of this, Holy War was banned for a certain comment in the Body Spray thread. That was also meant as a "joke." What's more, he actually apologized about it and the apology was accepted.

Oh my God. He wasn't banned for one thing.

He was banned for all kinds of things. The example you posted was just one of the things he said that I don't want to see here.

But I guess that doesn't fit the image of me being a ban happy nazi..... ?

It's not like this is the only insulting thing SLC has posted  How many times has he called other members "hypocrites." Probably more than any other single poster on this board. pilferk tells me this is name calling and against the rules.

look dude...... how do i say this in conservative........ ahhhh yes i know....... it wasnt me it was him....... its called the blame game, one guy gets banned for what was deemed by jarmo to be enough and was tossed. ill miss the guy to a point, he was a rare conservative that would admit that he could see your point and not entirely drone on about there being only one answer. However on the SLC and other lefties issue...... there have been more tehn one occasion that i myself have pushed the insult rule about as far as it will go without breaking. The thing is calling a spade a spade is one thing trashing someone for spite is another. This strawman you speak of is a fact of most posters on this board. Often times when I call somebody a hypocrite is based on what they have posted.

Example: Kitano calls me a coward because I so "withdrawl" the troops. He then goes on to call other people wimps, wussies...whatever. Then a month later he says we should pull out. So...I say he's a hypocrite.


As far as the "this thread is gay" thing. It must be taken into perspective. First of all, everybody on this board knows I don't care if somebody is gay. Second there is a dual usage for the word "gay" these days. In this case, meaning Lame. Thirdly Richard Simmons is over the top gay, and that is funny. Posting that pic for humors sake, with the word gay is a play on words with a good laugh. Certainly not an attack on homosexuals. Comparing that clip and paste to calling somebody a fag is not accurate and you know it. You must consider the source, and how it was presented.

If a new poster comes on and shows a picture of a guy at the gay parade and says "Body spray is for fags"..That is totally different then what i posted. Anybody can see that.

Right and it continues into this thread. They are claiming they are being called names. Names, that they only hear after facts are presented, then ignored, then spit back out again. I don't have a problem with people disagreeing with me, that's kind of the point of arguing. What I do have a problem with is people taking what I say out of context. This post is just a follow-up until Jarmo replies to my PM to let me know if I'm on his shit/ban list.

My name has been brought up as one of 6 poster that make racist/hateful statements towards other members.? To clarify on this, I have never posted that I do not believe women, gays, blacks or any other segment of society should be treated differently or have different rights.? My only comment ever to deal with rights were in regard to voting and I only advocated that it is my belief that someone should contribute to their society and have a vested interest in that society to be able to vote - that applies to christian, white heterosexuals just as much as anyone else.

I am not anti-gay or a homophobe.? I believe homosexuality is not a choice and someone should be able to live their life as they see fit.? I am not a christian, but was raised as one.? If my memory is correct, all sins can be forgiven save blasphemy.? That means that pre-marital sex is just as much of a sin as "homosexuality".? I personally don't see gay people as evil or wrong.? It was always my understanding that salvation and redemption are given only through God.? there's enough problems in this world/country to worry about without certain people being on a moral crusade to judge the personal lives and actions of others.? If a God does exist (again I'm an agnostic; i don't know) then we'll all have to answer to him and him alone.

I'd like to be able to participate in this forum.? It is my opinion that I offer one of the few property rights/individual oriented arguments to the issues we discuss.? While I have had many heated debates with SLC and others, I have always enjoyed them.? It's because I love this site and seeing what other people think and believe that I am willing to no longer contribute if Jarmo believes my comments to be harmful to his board.

I hope that you all don't associate me or my post with the racist and elitist statements that were quoted by Jamie in another thread; none of those were mine.? I also hope that you guys don't want me banned simply because we have dissenting political opinions.
