Brian Johnson Joins VR On-Stage

AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson joined VELVET REVOLVER onstage during their appearance at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday (Sept. 6) for a rendition of LED ZEPPELIN's "Rock and Roll".

VELVET REVOLVER's concert at Hard Rock Live was a benefit for victims of 2005 hurricanes, including Katrina. The supergroup, comprised of former members of GUNS N' ROSES Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, frontman Scott Weiland, formerly of STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, was originally scheduled to play the opening concert at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi on September 9. 100 percent of ticket and bar sales from the show, presented by Hard Rock Live, Hard Rock Hotel Orlando and Real Rock 101.1, will be donated to help the people of Biloxi and New Orleans through the American Red Cross. Hard Rock staff has donated their time, and many Hard Rock partners are chipping in for the evening, including Diageo Spirit of Americas, Rolling Rock, FreshPoint Inc. (fresh produce distributor), CSC Security and Doubletree Hotel in Orlando.

I saw Snakepit open for AC/DC in Biloxi back in 2000.  It was awesome, but the two didn't join the stage together.  I am sure this was the highlight of the night.  God, what I would have given to witness that rock and roll moment.  No offense to Scott, he is great, but Brian Johnson is just so focking powerful when he sings.  He is such a bad ass.  Scott could never sing an AC/DC type song.

yeah man his voice is so powerfull.. I would have loved to have heard thunderstruck as slash rips into the opening

Thank you Mr Malcom for sharing that with us!  Shit, I would have loved to watch a video of that ! I love VR, but Slash, Duff and Matt sounds so cool with a singer who screams up in the high tones like Axl, Bach, or Brian. Ac/Dc and Slash ... Wow ! I've always hoped for that combination !!
