please could you give me any tips on how to master singin and playin guitar at the same time as im struggling.im learnin oasis at the moment.do you know any songs that are easy to sing and strum to that i could practise with.any help will be appreaciated,cheers

first of all, do bands that have a guitar/bass playing vocalist.. so you know its easy :p

its so easy is no problem i think.. dust n' bones is fairly easy..

basket case, holliday from green day are easy to sing to

i had the same problem, but its just practise

but my problem now is i love singing too much :p

just pic songs with a fairly simple strumming rhythm so you can do it without giving it much thought

if your tryin oasis go for wonderwall or little by little, theyr fairly simple

and if you wana try some GNR used to love her is a good place to start

I think it's easy if u can do either without concentrating on the other. If u can sing the lyrics and focus on ur playing OR learn the song on guitar cold, and focus on ur singing. Trying to concentrate on both and u'll fuck it up.

Hate to be generalized, but all you need to do is practice.  It'll take months to get good, years to get great.  Unless you're Jimi, then you have nothin to worry about.

Half the world away is a very simple oasis song to play and strum. Once you get the tecnique (i say tecnique, you'll do it without thinking) its a piece of piss.

Oasis have loads of songs you can sing to. Wonderwall, slide away (acoustic version), whatever, love like a bomb, part of the queue are all pretty easy. The best one for a sing-a-long with your mates is Don't Look Back In Anger. Its simple to play and sing to. In fact it sort of ruined the song for me that its so easy.

But like a few others have said it all really comes down to practise. After a year of playing i could sing along to maybe 3 or 4 songs (poorly) in the last year i've probably learnt ten times that. Just play till your fingers bleed.
