It sounded like Led Zeppelin. It was really heavy.

Something's not adding up.

Oh, come on. Zeppelin was heavy for their time. They weren't Black Sabbath, but they were very intense compared to nearly all the other hard rock bands around.

Bullshit. If the song was the 'greatest song he's ever heard' why would post asking for it on a gnr forum? Can't he contact his friends? The song was probably Paradise City anyway...? Roll Eyes

He said (on GNRForum) that it wasn't PC and he has all the old GNR stuff and the leaked tracks.

He said it was a "friend of a friend" who had it, not his friends, maybe they can't get it? Convenient...

but I'd rank this rumor as "mildly interesting" if only because a) it's a title we've never heard before and b) the IRS cd did get out there (and took over a year to leak the one track that was aired).

Someone's got a source... be nice if they'd let something slip... i.e. one of the other tracks from that IRS disc.

The song is called "Proxy" and it's a song about how axl uses proxy servers so that he can post on message boards without anyone knowing.

Axl's web browser starts now!

Now that is funny! ( I am not being sarcastic).

This is true but the supposed guy this quote came from is speaking from today's point of view.

I mean I don't know about you but when I hear bands like Rammstein, Kittie, Deicide, hell even albums like Appetite For Destruction I'm not sitting there saying "whoa this reminds me of Led Zeppelin."

Just sounds like yet another badly conceived rumor.

Me still want to make sure of "the strip bar" being pure BS, likewise.

Strip Bar is a fake song that has been circulating on P2P networks for a long time.

Thanks Pandora. So it's, as it were, a phantasm on the net like "my fav pillow". Sure enough!
Now I can tell them. Asking here is worth a try.
