However, it is totally Axls style. Some I'm more wondering, was that just some spur of the moment comment, or at that time, did he have a phased plan?

Im guessing perhaps it was just spontaneous and too much was read into it?

I feel many rounds have passed and failed.. I wish axl never said assanine stuff like round one or see you next summer as if he was going to do something shortly after the vmas..

I have no idea what form round 2 will take but then again I don't know if it will ever take form anyway.... One day we will be sitting here hearing lawsuit against rose to release cd and it will be something no on supports...

I'm sure Gn'r will only happen again when everything is set, the album, touring plans (maybe he doesn't feel like touring anymore, I dunno, ) but he won't say anything untill it's ready to go. Then he will talk about some important aspects of what happened the last 5 years..... You know why he doesn't gives us a clue now? Coz allmost everything he did said... "see you next summer......summer motherfucking summer" ?and everthing.........came back and bites him in the ass coz it didn't happen. Some really bad stuff happened with the abrupt tour ending......bucket departure.... this all fucked up the whole time table.

You won't hear any statement from Axl again when he is not ready ......ONLY when he and the band are.

I belive that axl has to change plans since the "round 1" thing... I belive that if he did perform a new track on mtv LIVE, it was because he was going to release an album soon... not 3 or 4 years later

I agree.  Everything about the 2002 coming of Axl was ended by a first-round knock-out.  The 3rd coming will have to take a different angle.  If and when we see it.
