The article that rollingstone published about the tour stated that clear channel cancelled the tour because they were concerned about losing millions of dollars if Axl no showed for any more dates.? It's a pretty understandable position for them to take.? If Axl wasn't going to hold up his end of the deal then clear channel had to do something to protect themselves.
I remember reading that as well and it still seems to be the most logical reasoning. Does anyone think it could be possible the no show in Vancouver was deliberate to get some press and hype going for the tour because the airplane troubles excuse Axl gave always struck me as far to coincidental for GnR's first tour date in almost 9 years. The circumstances surrounding the Philly no show are just bizzare..I dont think we'll ever hear the truth on that topic.
