the rule is pointless because it does not effect anything or cause damage or any harm.stop being a sheep!!!!

It causes a few things:

- Pages load slower for people who are on slow connections. There are other people on this board, you're not the only one posting here.

- Big signatures are annoying in my opinion. Sometimes when I read other boards I'm not sure if I'm supposed to read the posts or look at the big signatures. Here the posts are the most important thing, that's why the signatures are supposed to be kept small.

- I don't really wanna spend time telling people to make their signatures smaller because they decided to use a 1024 x 768 dekstop wallpaper as their signature. It's much more convenient to say "no graphics". Makes my "job" easier.
