Heres a question, what type of rumors did we have in 2002 for the VMAs and how far in advanced were the rumors before the VMAs. Cause i dont take dizzys comments in what he said to have anything to do with the vma's. My opinion is its not gonna happen.

Am I the only person who thinks it would be a dumb idea to do the VMA thing again? What are they gonna do the same surprise thing and play the same songs? That's so lame. Its like Axl's saying..."remember 2002? Well don't...forget that happened. That was practice, this one is real."
I agree, he had his chance in 2002 at the VMAs to make a huge return and impact and it was disastrous. In short, he made a right tit of himself. So to repeat that, he would need to be in absolute vintage form and I just dont see that happening. I really think Axl is a studio musician these days, his live singing days may well have ended in 02.
It was still an exciting performance. Definately one will be remembered, even though his voice broke down during WTTJ.

Don't know how popular that is overall, but they're using it at Mike Portnoy's forum, among others. You can "mute" a poster by pressing a button, and as a result all of the person's posts are skipped when you're viewing the board.

You need to learn how to shut your little mouth....
You sound like one of those piss-ass whiny little brats, who practice some macho-smart-ass facade online, only to hide the fact there penis has never seen it past the 4 inch mark on a ruler.
Anyways, common sense tells me that Guns N' Roses logical time-line is running down. It seems as if all the band members (?) are getting focused on there own projects/solo careers, and despite the fact that Gn'R sales in merchandise and albums are probably up, the world isn't going to wait forever. And Sanctuary is, financially, pretty effed up, obviously they're in dire times, if they can't push Axl to a release before Christmas (biggest opportunity for sales), I'd be extremely hard pressed to imagine seeing CD anytime soon.
So, I think, if anythings gonna happen, its gotta be soon.

Perhaps you've recognised a trait in yourself there, it is common for one to seek and point out perceived depravity in others that one recognises in oneself ? Aint that right random little man?
I'm merely stating my opinion that the VMA performance was not exciting, nor exhilirating but in fact it was dreadful. Alot of fans will acknowledge that. If you are prepared to settle for that level then thats fine, but Id prefer a peformance in line with what Axl has proven himself capable of in the past and that was not up to scratch.
Now apologise immediatley for being such a jumped up little prick?

I think you are exaggerating by alot. It wasnt a great vocal performance for the most part, but the energy level for that closing performance was very high. The crowd was into it before and after. The band did very well too.

granted, the band sounds kick ass as always
however, Axl was the main focus, and IMO, he blew it plain and simple

Yeah, Axl sounded pretty bad. We've all heard the xcuse of his earpiece failing or whatever, but the bottom line remains...most people I talked to said Axl sounded bad. And I also think he sounded bad. That being said it was still a pretty good performance. Like people have already said, the nergy in the place was through the roof. And the band played well.

Considering Slash was not allowed to watch the Vegas show(s), I'd say that Axl will not be at the VMA's this year, purely based on the expectation that VR may just get a handfull of awards.
Can you imagine the backstage mess this would cause? Cobain / Rose fiasco revisited.
That's one way of getting back into the limelight, I suppose.

Oh, it would be very interesting if Axl & VR were in the same building.
Not gonna happen. This whole thread is a joke. Dizzy`s big special guest was at a concert on July 4th, WHICH ALREADY HAPPENED. And we still don`t know who that guest was. Must`ve been a big rock icon!

Holy Geez guys , how long can we handle poor fragile axl with kid gloves?!
The thing is , if Axl really wants to "come back" and release an album that's gunna be big he's gunna have to be prepared for some award shows where he may HAVE to be in the same room or building with "former friends" such as slash and duff. I mean VR aint going nowhere , they'll be around and with a new album maybe they will be up for more awards all over the place next year. So if axl releases something and it's big and he gets nominated in the same catagory as VR what should he do? Stay home and sulk cause of slash and duff being at the awards?
C'mon! Arent these guys grown men?

Axl never even knew slash was there and it was not Axl that said slash could not get in it was gnr's manager. I really don?t think Axl gives a rat?s ass if VR are in the same building or not. You would think he would want to upstage them by having the better song or better ovation.
