The Magic Numbers frontman Romeo Stodart was overjoyed to meet his hero Slash at an awards ceremony, but was disappointed the Guns N' Roses legend didn't know who he was.
Up-and-coming rocker Stodart's band recently released their debut album and was named Best New Act at the Mojo Honours List at the London bash in June (05).
And Stodart was so happy to see Slash, who now plays with Velvet Revolver, he quickly introduced himself.
Stodart says, "We are all massive Guns N' Roses fans. They were the band that made me think, 'Yeah, I want to be in a band.'
"I met Slash at the Mojo awards and told him I thanked him on our album. I don't think he had a clue who I was."
I don't know who this band is either so.....
