what are your views on velvet revolver jarmo??
do you like their music? Im just wondering
I've seen them live five times on this tour. Does that answer your question?
I still don't like everything they do, but they're an entertaining live act.
I also think they could be more entertaining if they mixed up their setlist a bit.?
/jarmo
No shit. I hoe they at least add "come on, Come in" to the setlist.
Also, why did they even stop playing "used to love her"?

Was hanging out with some friends of mine here in Luxenburg. They visited a music festival some weeks ago that lasted 3 days. NIN showed up and were great, Green Day were there and were also great. Looking through the list of bands appearing i noticed VR on the ticket. So i asked my friends what were VR like? their anwser, Very Revolting, not very good and why was the lead singer wearing a Nazi cap?? So i pushed them further and asked, but what about Slash? he must have been good? their reply, well he really wasnt into it.
In case you cant tell just by listening to the radio, most people nowadays only like rock music thats watered down. VR is too rough for many out there. Plus, VR dont fit in like Green Day does with the current music scene.

the fact that they said Green Day were great just makes them lose all cred.

I know, they only have one album and they still do a decent job of switching the setlist with different covers and even dropping and adding some of their songs here and there. This past week they played Dead and Bloated and Come On Come in for the first times. Then they have thrown in covers from The Doors, Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols, Cheap Trick, Nirvana, Aerosmith and Queen. They dropped Dirty Little thing at a show last week and Sex Type thing in another.. Through out the tour they added a song here and there that they hadn't played yet first Superhuman, then Dirty Little Thing then You Got No Right.... I think they are doing a fine job for the ammount of material they have...I have seen them 4 times and each show the setlist had evolved from the previous..

Wow, if your friends didn't like them they must really be bad.? You idiot, get a life!!!!

I've heard the VR album, it's ok, not so great. I was simply after someone's opinion of them who had seen them live. I guess you like them lots and lots.

Very few bands have great live performances every show. Diddn`t VR cancel the rest of the european tour due to exhaustion & getting burnt from touring for over a year? I`m not saying VR is the greatest band ever or that they suck, just the fact they are human.

Everybody has got an opinion. I saw VR live and was blown away..maybe these people were never into GNR or just are one of the ones that don't like VR because it's not GNR or they don't like Scott..who knows.. Very revolting is a bit harsh..even if they had an off night..
Since they liked Green Day it's obvious that their opinion doesn't matter.
*bows* we think alike fellow anti-green day and the spreader of commercialised crap "kerrang magazine"

I think cutting the tour short had more to do with the snobby european attitude towards VR, and constant comparisions about GNR. Supposedly there is alot of GNR chanting over there. They havent moved on compared to the states. If these shows were in the US, i doubt they would cancelle.

I've seen them four times in London (got witnesses) and once in Stockholm.
All I heard was "We want Slash" during the opening act in Stockholm... Kinda funny since the opening act was the guitar player from Europe.
Oh, and "Hammer! Hammer! Hammer!" before one of the London shows.
